We're abysmal.

It's not all on Silva. He changed the system yesterday (again). Did what people have been asking. I reckon most people were happy with that side at the start of the game tbh.

It didn't work.

Silva's tactics clearly aren't working but there has to be massive blame on the players. We may have a poor manager. But we also have a poor squad. We have poor players.

That's not just on Silva.

He will go if we don't beat Southampton.

Gomes' injury and the players at least having a go late on has probably bought him that (not that I agree with it).

The players are fighting for him. But they're not very good. And neither is he. This is the problem.

Looking at that run..... I wouldn't want to be a new manager coming into that because you'll be on the back foot immediately.

Or..... is it the perfect opportunity for a new manager?

Nothing to lose in many respects. Most fans going into those games expecting very little.

A few hard-fought points in big games could do wonders for a manager.

Deliver a long-awaited win at Anfield or in any of the other games and all of a sudden he's got the 100% backing of the fans.

This is the most worrying thing. When Martinez was edging towards the end, the players had completely given up on him. I think these players genuinely want Silva to manage them.

The problems are rife. Silva's lack of adjustment after Spurs figuring out that left side and bringing off Walcott instead of Iwobi are two of the latest examples of his standard. If we lose to Southampton he's got to go. We're in a worse position than we were when big Sam took over aren't we?

There just doesn't seem to be much worrying going on from fans at the moment - but we're very much relegation quality. Injuries are compounding how bad our form is.

Rafael would be my replacement, post-Silva. I think giving Marco until the end of the season is just too dangerous post end of December, depending on if we head into the New Year with more than 25 points.
Rafael? you sound like a kopite

Well I think if we had our positive hat on yes that would be great but let's be honest there's been no indication of miracles happening lately

Never say never though that's for sure.

Players are definitely trying for him.

Not really sure what people expect from him? Aside from playing teenagers hes tried it all.

Southampton was always gonna be the key match. International break to follow so he's gone if he loses. And deservedly so.
