Wait wait wait… I thought the Red Echo was biased against us.

As a local paper it largely panders to LFC - however the Everton correspondents like Kirkbride, Jones etc tow the party line for the club.

As I said compare their reporting over Silva to that of say Alladyce/Koeman when they were under pressure and its night and day in content - thats because the club have no desire to sack the current fella.

can you really blame them, If they rag on the club constantly they won't get exclusives interviews or news etc
No exclusives = no clicks = no one cares.
I'm not defending them because no journo asks tough questions to our manager or towards Everton in general but I can understand why they're like this...

we haven't been unlucky at all, we have for the majority been very poor

all three goals against brighton should never been goals? explain????
The free kick is right at pickford, he should save it but pickford gets beaten at his side( not for the first time ) because he knows he struggles with free kicks so goes early without seeing ball and then gets wrong footed, like against Mahrez and neves. Penalty obvs not a penalty and the last own goal tbf I guess digne had to do something but last second of the game and people walking back. I agree we have been poor though like against villa and Bournemouth but even against villa when we were so crap iwobi should score and DCL misses a sitter.

Unless the players down tools as per the assassination of Martinez there should be enough in the squad to avoid a relegation dogfight in which case give him till the end of the season ..... unless Jose rings up saying he's buying a place in Formby
It would be nice if these players downed tools on him to finish 5th and get to semi finals of the league cup and FA cup as well as the last 16 of the Europa league.

but as conceding crap goals doesn't mean they shouldn't be goals

you can argue with the brighton pen that was never a pen, but it was still awful defending by Keane

by your logic you can more a less make a case for every single goal conceded shouldn't be a goal, ie he never cleared it, he never closed it down, our striker give it away and they countered

we have just been poor all season minus a couple of games

I see where your coming from but I'm saying alot of goals are just so easily avoidable and is more our own doing like awful mistakes and dodgy decisions not by playing or defending poorly. I was trying to explain how we've conceded way more than what expected goals preficted.

What you're referring to is toeing the line, not towing the line.
