Again I repeat, this doesn’t mean we can’t compete though. It just means that I doubt we’ll ever get an “elite” (use your own definition) manager. Doesn’t mean we can’t make good, clever signings and get a decent manager in it’s just they’ll always come with a degree of risk and no guarantee of success.

The thing is you dont need a top manager.

You just need a half decent one and a ton of dough. We have the funds but just need a Mancini/Ten Hag/Rose/AVB/Biesla type to have us seriously challenging the top 6 who will inevitably have the odd bad year like this one which we can look to exploit.

Moshiri hasnt a clue about football and it shown with the appointments of Alladyce and the current fella.
 
While it might of been nice to see Kean start if he had of changed it the dont change a winning side would of been the main call, happy for Cenk, we have to win this one

To challenge the top 6? Maybe. But if you want to win things, you need a top manager.

Winning things is subjective mate

The league?
Champions League?

Or FA Cup?
CL qualification?

The former yes you need a top manager but we cant attract the very best right now but the latter 2 is achievable with the right manager something which we haven't got at present.

Yes I understand exactly what you're saying. I was just making the point that you need a top manager to win things. Hopefully we will be able to attract one in the near future.
