Hmmm...not to seem negative...But with that kind of money, we couldve added abit more for Moutinho, or just abit less for Fernandes :(...

...I think its a good transfer though...

We havent really spent anything when you take into account the sales of AJ and Mcfadden

It looks like Halewood was right when he said we're skint. We sold to buy which doesn't really fill me with optimism. Still, hopefully this Fellaini guy is the real deal. And getting Saha fit could really alter our options. Add to that and bring back Cahill and Pienaar and the first team looks pretty good.

At least there is now some descent height in the midfield alongside Castillo. This guy is a monster. Perfect for the Arteta setpieces!!! (y)

Dont worry, im sure Moyes is just saving money for the next Transfer Window :unsure::blink:

I agree neb, long term its worrying but the squad is now better than last season so i think we can still do well. Im thinking we'll have to be well clear of city by january though and if we are then i think 4th is a possibility. :o Or maybe we'll finish 16th. Who knows:lol:

Haha, mate. I agree on the last bit. I can see us finishing anywhere from 4th (well fifth) to 16th.

The problem is that the other teams who have been chasing us last year has spent in excess of 50-60mill on transfers which is worrying.

I think we'll do really really well this season to qualify for UEFA cup again. Hopefully we could at least end in the top10.

I wonder if a lot of those teams will be able to maintain a push for Europe, though. It seems that unless you're from the top 4, then you pay a lot of money for average to good players, but not world beaters. Our team, barring injury, is as good as any other non-top 4 team. The exception could prove to be Man City but I believe next season will be their time.

And what makes us the best of the rest is that we are the most consistent. Yes we get beat by the top 4 but we win away to stoke unlike villa. So i guess we'll find out next game then!

Can't say I've seen anything of him, but it looks a good buy (y)

I'm just relieved really, went to bed thinking we were [Poor language removed], woke up to the news that we've smashed our transfer record

Hopefully he turns out to be awesome :)
