I'd like to see a poll with either in or out with no other options available. The 'Don't know yet' clearly have their doubts if they're mulling his sacking. If you were fully behind him then it would be a keep vote.

Now I'm no mathematician, well, actually I sort of am, but anyway, we've got more points, in a season where more teams are unexpectedly taking points off other teams.

We're a place higher, with 2 less losses, and our goal difference is better off by 7 goals. Clearly we're better than we were last season.

We're 6 points off 4th, whereas this time last year, we were 10 points off 4th. So, at a moment in time where our manager is in absolutely no danger of being sacked, and top 4 is amazingly still a possibility, can we at least try and be somewhat optimistic?
Optimism and realism is frowned upon by some on this forum, using common sense you could be stoned in public

Barry has been excellent for the whole of this season. Kone has complemented Lukaku very well , although he probably needs a break now. Howard had a poor run of form, due partly to bad defending in front of him, but has been better recently. Besic is unreliable from a temperament point of view,Mirallas is an almost permanent sulk who plays for himself, not the team. Robles has had a few good games and is an OK keeper, but has not done enough to earn the adulation he gets on here, which is baasically anti-Howard rather than pro Robles.

Your analysis is decent Steve. I agree with you on Barry he has played very well. Kone deserved a run in the team, especially after scoring a hatrick (often players "dine out" on a hatrick for a season) but he should be rotated now as he does look abit stale. The advantage of having a squad is it should allow us to keep them fresh.

Besic has been quite injury prone so not fit enough for selection.

I disagree with Howard/Robles though. In the games he played last season and the two Carling cup games it was hard to find any fault in him. The derby at home last season and Palace away were very secure displays. The decision to drop him for Howard was an appalling one, as bad as any Moyes made and gets castigated for. Dropping a lad who had kept 3 consecutive clean sheets was a poor decision and sends out the wrong message, that senior pro's can walk straight into the team.

In fairness mate you would have anybody to replace Martinez, your hate for him is pretty clear to all
I think I have been clear time and again on this issue. I couldn't give a toss if you were the manager as long as we are winning. If Martinez goes on a great run of form now, nothing to unrealistic, the only issue in here will be controlling the gloating by the majority of posters. But in the main we will ALL be happy with Everyon winning, because it's ace when they do.

Spelling mistakes are fine, but to spell Everton wrong I think deserves a ban

You never wanted him and want him to fail....just my gut feel

Oh...make no mistake, Ian hates Martinez and has since day one. The proof is in the vaults.

Steve give us a shout next time you're going the match and I'll meet up. Sounds like an excellent drug taking orgy and lash up based on this analysis mate.

Making up that an Everton supporter wants us to lose. Nice one.
