Martinez: Everton players fear Goodison Crowd

....he is in a BIG part mate because they play to his instruction, namely to fanny about with the 'beautiful passing game' in and around the 18 yard box whereupon a loss of possession becomes an almost immediate threat on goal & creation of panic.

Are you genuinely not seeing a pattern?

The players, the fans, the board. Everyone's fault but the person who's actually responsible.

I don't think Martinez either made the back pass or was in goal to then kick the opposition player in the box to give away a penalty yesterday.

So I'd love to know how he can be '%100 to blame'

Does Martinez insist on his back four to play out of the back and not panic???

If Stones gets that ball and puts a boot through it getting the pressure of the back four it never happens

Instead he receives it and looks for a way out by passing across the back line

All Martinez and his instructions

I'm still waiting on someone to show me how Martinez is '%100 to blame' for it. Yes. Perhaps someone could draw a diagram to show me how Martinez ran onto the pitch and proceeded to pass it back to himself and then fumble the clearance.

Que?

If he wants to get resukts back on track he will.

If Robles has a good game on Wednesday and gets us to Wembley he's going to find it hard to rotate back.

So people will be well within their rights to voice their displeasure if howard plays the next league game if we go through - is that what you're telling us?

At this point I would support Robles being in goal. Yes.

Also one of the two current centre backs needs to be dropped. I'm preferring Mori as his performances are currently better than Stones.

The defence (more accurately GK) has not been good enough to provide a base for the attacking play that's won a lot of praise.

It's revisionism in the extreme to suggest we haven't played great football this season. You surely see that?

Totally agreed Dave about the goalkeeper (still cannot get my head around Martinez's thinking or stubbornness that Howard is a good keeper). However regarding you point about attacking football , whats the point of attack attack attack when we are getting picked off at will by the opposition. He needs to sort out the defense first and get that settled and playing as a unit before we play this attacking football. This pass pass pass around the back 4 is not working and it has created numerous problems over the last 18 months and if he cannot see that ...well he simply should not be the manager of Everton
