Martinez: Everton players fear Goodison Crowd

So reading what he says he at no point blames the crowd for the performances - it's a poor subtitle. Hasn't stopped people jerking knees though

Performances need improving like

When he says we're a team who exactly knows what we're doing you know he has a point lol

As for comfort for players - a comfy arm chair and a nice cocktail at half time may suffice

Yes but

If people are going, then surely they understand the game enough to be correct enough to boo?

There is a picture begin to emerge here - the home crowd don't understand that everything is actually going right, those who don't go (and go to the pub but pretend to go fall into this category), the away fans that have seen us win 8 away games in a season and a half (including 5 out of 19 last season and watch us draw 3-3 at Bournemouth) they don't understand it either.

There's a lot of people not understanding the Everton way at the moment.

Seeing that you brought me into a conversation you were having with someone else, and deliberately made a reference to myself, I will respond. I will repeat for your benefit, who is someone that doesn't go to the game, for whatever reason, and doesn't try to go to the game, for whatever reason, I don't pretend to go to the game. I go to the game when I can and will say so accordingly.

Sell out crowds is an indication that Evertonians are going to the game. You may like to try it some time rather that casting aspersions - is the spelling for your liking - about me and going to the match.

As far as the booing goes. Unless you were there today you can not possibly say how many, how much booing was going on. Your opinion is worthless. So don't comment on it.

It sounds like what he's trying to say is that there's too much pressure at Goodison, as the expectation is that we would win our home games more often than not, sounds like a home win every now and then is too much to ask.

The players clearly hate the crowd, they've asked him to have a word. It's getting a bit silly really.

There we go again @Groucho - Unless someone was there today, their opinion is worthless.

It's a big statement.

Sell out crowds

Today's Attendance: 36,908

That's not a sell-out crowd I'm afraid. You do get an awful lot wrong for a man in the pub like the rest of us.
