I think it's fairly obvious now Martinez is the number one candidate. Looks like it could be an interim role. Not sure if that's a good idea at all though. If that's what we want go with big Duncan

It never goes well when I manager goes back to a club for the second time.

It’s a no for me. I have no doubt he’s improved as a manager greatly, but he should of done so much better with that Belgium team that has a few world classs players than they have done. What’s he going to do with the crap we have….. I don’t hold much hope.

I don't believe he would be the right choice even on an interim basis. I don't think he's grown as a coach / manager since he left us.

More concerning to me is the thought process behind it, or maybe lack of.

'Let's just give it to someone we know'. When you look at our Board it's not surprising, no diversity there.

Martinez is a smart career man though. Anything short of a win in Qatar is probably his end with Belgium so take on a new job, sell them on needing a long term project and continue the usual con man act for a couple of years.

I'm telling you right now he hasn't improved at all hes still making the same mistakes he made at us but with much better players.

A truly terrible manager that needs to be kept away from everton at all costs.
