Plenty of good managers got sacked and left with their contracts paid up. Not sure what your point is. If Koeman was sacked tomorrow he;d have had £6M + another £10M in compo too...and all for getting us 6th and ending our season in the first week of January

Your obsession with the Ronk failing is very worrying, but please keep it in the relevant thread.

Anyway my point is that you were happy to point out that good old bobby was whiter than white, when in fact he demanded more money from the club for failing. He has no dignity, he's just a money grabbing scrubber

No, he's got that honour to look forward to.
Which is hardly am achievement with that Belgium side is it? I mean you'd actually have to deliberately sabotage their qualifying campaign for them not to reach the tournament with that side. What would equate a successful tournament in your mind Dave? They have repeatedly reached the quarter-finals in recent years so surely anything less then an improvement and the semi-finals would be a failure no?

He didn't really though did he? There is plenty to have a go at Mr. Martinez about without having to go down this route.

I believe he did, he took us to tribunal and won. He failed, got sacked and didn't accept the very large compensation package offered by the club.

It really is none of our business what he got paid. If he won a tribunal then he was obviously in the right to claim for whatever he got. Why should he accept anything?

I find it mad how people get so involved with stuff like that.

It's none of our business, I'm sorry but we paid him his wages so it is. He was employed to do a job, for which he failed. He was offered a substantial compensation package, which he rejected.

If he was managing the RS I couldn't give 2 hoops, but he wasn't. He was ruining our club and then taking our money

"We" as in you and I did not pay him. Our season tickets or whatever may have paid a tiny tiny amount of that.

He didn't ruin anything either. We are still here, in pretty much the same place we have been for 20-30 years. he was rightfully sacked and got paid what was owing to him. Big deal.

When did we become so precious? Its business and it happens. We were stupid to offer him an improved contract after one year but again, it's business and it somewhat made sense at the time.

There is so much to be concerned about/invested in that happens on the pitch without having to worry about what happens behind the scenes. Life is too short.
