I think if we bring in Gbamin and he can play DM RB and CB we will sell Holgate.

He might have to do all three at once at this rate.

I think his positioning is affected by the fact he plays both RB and CB. It used to affect Jones and Smalling at United. There is differing views as to his best position but for the sake of helping him be a better player I hope they pick one and stick with it and only use him in the other if needs must.

Sell for sure, the list of clubs interested shows his standard, no problems with Mason, sure he is trying, but just not good enough

Sell. Would actually play Gibson over him, he seems to be a better talent, Holgate still makes all the same mistakes. And also Gbamin, if needed.

As a right back, he also is not real PL quality, we need to bring in someone better.

Realistically cant see us getting more than £7-8 million for him however thats still a profit and can go towards our CB signing

If we sell Holgate we would need 2 CB and a RB in the last week of the window. I think we need to keep him as 4th choice CB but if Gibson shows he's ready to step up in first half of the season maybe let him go in the window. Too short of time now to get the right quality in.

Got to watch who we let go depending on whether they are classed as home grown players in the squad as we do need a certain number but can't remember how many but I know we are close to being dead on the number we need from an earlier post that broke it down.
