Both definitely had potential. The question has to be asked why Everton have failed over and over again to turn this potential into good players.

Holgate was players player of the season in 19/20. Must have had something about him.

I think they’ve both done well to have the careers they’ve had myself I don’t think either of them had much talent.

…I’d be chuffed if he did well but what if he gives away a last minute penalty to lose the game. Turning around their fortunes is unlikely but there’s risky scenario’s that could still play out. All I’m saying is he should’ve been left at Soton.
