If the modders hadn't taken down some threads and thrown some warnings about I'm sure it would be way worse. Not supporting England is totally the mainstream side around here -- you lot are like the kids at school who think of themselves as being so different and edgy when everyone in class dresses and acts almost identically. ;)

I'm English; I hope England win. Yes it's hard to support the team (moreso because of Terry than the RS players and I'm more upset by the RS players being included in the squad because they are horrible at football rather than the fact they're RS) but since when has supporting a football team been easy?

The kids at school thing made me laugh.

There was a poll i think a while ago on here mate and the majority supported England. Fine.

I tell you what winds me up, D/D said they got the most reported posts about anti-England threads so they were clamping down, yet in these England threads you can still have a pop at anti-Englanders but the second you have a go back, they can't take it.

Also, I was fuming last night, we have lost of our great Goalkeepers and only for Big Nev being outstanding, our greatest keeper ever and it seemed no1 was bothered, yet in here we have pictures of England flags from that rag of a newspaper which seems more important.

I'm too Everton and not patriotic to like England, thats my problem, I can take it if people disagree, I can also take it if people don't like it and have a pop at me I just don't get why it's never vice-versa

Wanted to stay out of this thread because it's a rehash of the same arguments i've heard for the last 20 years or so but I have to say thats' spot on.

The Scotch are nearly as bad as well.

Supporting England does not make anyone less of an Evertonian. And do you not reckon that if you start implying it does all over pro-england threads where Evertonians are supporting England that you might get some negative reaction to it?

RFUS puts his arguement across as it should be. Without putting anyone elese down.

If you don't like England that's fine, but there's no need to hate on those that do.

I'll fully admit that some England fans take it too far. Like that Sun thing on the Eifel Tower. That will make us look ridiculous when they smash us in a bit.

However, Cena and Bry, you seem to tarnish all the England fans with the same brush. I totally understand guys like yourselves not wanting England to do well, due to the Liverpool influence, I just don't agree with it. That really is it. If you can find anything i've said, that suggests otherwise i'll apologise.

Anyway, the likely line up is only going to have one Liverpool player in it (still one too many mind) thank god. Yes some of the other players are bit idiotic, but so are a load of other players in the tournament for other teams. Footballers are generally over paid idiots! But for every John Terry there is a Scott Parker who deserves his chance.

Anyway, i'm bored of this. I'm even more scared of what the French will do to us later.

We will either win 1-0 and it will be horrific to watch for all, or we'll be annihilated 3 or 4 nil and you guys will quite rightly love it. Cant see much else happening.
