Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

As someone pointed out a page or two back, it is much easier to get on the ladder than people think. Brighton went down to 5 - three cup home games and two of the games that went to general/no credits last season would have got people a ticket. Most away games have started on 11 this season, which is only half the maximum number you can have.

I'm not saying there are no 'credit hunters' around but the idea that it is blocking others from getting tickets is wildly overstated.
True This, people mainly moan when the derby comes around but those same people won't be going to Brighton for a early Sunday game or Sunderland in a Tuesday night...etc

Not having a pop at you here mate, because a quick look at your posting history shows you're travelling all over the place to support the team, but :-

  • If you buy the Chelsea ticket and pass it onto someone here, then a Blue goes to the game
  • If you don't buy the Chelsea ticket, some other Blue will buy it from the club and go to the game
There's not really any difference apart from the fact that you've helped out a particular person, who you likely don't know from Adam ( with apols to any Adams on the forum ) and, given you go to most of the aways, the odd credit here and there makes very little difference to your chances of getting away tickets, so I don't think anyone could accuse you of "credit hunting". fwiw - I think a fair few tickets are bought and then sold because someone wants to help out another Blue, but people forget that helping one Blue out means someone else won't get a ticket.

That's more text than I meant to

Understand what your saying mate but am more arsed about people basically saying im a credit hunter, As you say i go all the aways and will be for rest of the season permitting im not at work and when i have my operation but still people are jumping on my back beacuse i cant go one away because of work, Some people need to stop causing trouble and have some respect!

50% tho, despite what some think there isnt that many Everton tickets getting passed, which is why you see the same faces week after week, I think what Brighton are saying is the tickets got bought and no one went, which is different

Agree there.

Thing is though, what about those that have say 6 credits but always miss out? The criteria seems to start at say 11, then drop down. It usually sells out to 7+ and some of those tickets are bought by people on 7+ who have no intention of going and are just selling them on to earn a credit.

Having said that I don't think people on here are doing it often and not ever actually going to any aways, because there would be no gain for them. Tickets are sold for face value as far as I am aware. I reckon there is a culture at the bigger clubs to do it so you don't miss out further down the line when the criteria for a ticket starts much higher (e.g more popular game/lower allocation).

It's not much of a problem while we're not successful as there will always be a way to get on the ladder. If we get in the top 4/start winning things in the future, I reckon it will get far worse, with pretty much every away regular buying a ticket even if they can't go just so they don't miss out for those bigger games. There won't ever be any risk of not selling them on as the demand will be even bigger for a successful team.

Not too much to worry about then!

Hi just wondering if anyone can help out. I got my season ticket for the first time this season and can't make the Burnley game. Is there any way I can sell the individual ticket (on here) without using StubHub? Cheers.
