Not just at Everton it seems!

'The club is aware that of the 1235 sell out away attendance, almost 50% of those who purchased tickets chose not to attend the match. It is extremely disappointing to see so many supporters purchasing tickets and not attending the match, the majority in order to gain loyalty points.'
50% tho, despite what some think there isnt that many Everton tickets getting passed, which is why you see the same faces week after week, I think what Brighton are saying is the tickets got bought and no one went, which is different

A lot of away regulars are not on the credit ladder and rely on others still for away tickets . One case in particular were a blue who hadn't missed a game in years couldn't get a ruzemborak away ticket tried to bunk in and is now on a ban from Everton . So people blatantly buying tickets to just sell on is having an affect and is a bit snide . Advertising a ticket that isn't even on sale yet for example is a bit of a p1sstake.

Totally agree on that, thing is i no people who have shift work and sometimes want to go but cant get the day off an ended up helping a fello blue out, but the ladder has always been easy to get on givin a bit of time, the last Martinez season you couldnt give away tickets away, perfect chance for those who want to follow Everton for the long term to get started

yeah I have no problem with people selling the odd one on for various reasons the shift work one is a good reason .but advertising a ticket that's not even on sale yet is taking the Micky . The excuse that people are helping another blue out doesn't wash as people do it for there own gains.

Haha never noticed that, Am going Brighton but have spare its just Chelsea am not able to go to but someone might aswell have it on here you know what i mean no point causing trouble over it

Not having a pop at you here mate, because a quick look at your posting history shows you're travelling all over the place to support the team, but :-

  • If you buy the Chelsea ticket and pass it onto someone here, then a Blue goes to the game
  • If you don't buy the Chelsea ticket, some other Blue will buy it from the club and go to the game
There's not really any difference apart from the fact that you've helped out a particular person, who you likely don't know from Adam ( with apols to any Adams on the forum ) and, given you go to most of the aways, the odd credit here and there makes very little difference to your chances of getting away tickets, so I don't think anyone could accuse you of "credit hunting". fwiw - I think a fair few tickets are bought and then sold because someone wants to help out another Blue, but people forget that helping one Blue out means someone else won't get a ticket.

That's more text than I meant to type !

As someone pointed out a page or two back, it is much easier to get on the ladder than people think. Brighton went down to 5 - three cup home games and two of the games that went to general/no credits last season would have got people a ticket. Most away games have started on 11 this season, which is only half the maximum number you can have.

I'm not saying there are no 'credit hunters' around but the idea that it is blocking others from getting tickets is wildly overstated.
