Mayor's Bramley Moore Dock Open Letter To Evertonians

When will we find out if Liverpool get the games, I'm just praying we don't get it, saying that though we must be already taking the games into account in the planning

Are Everton the most gigantic mugs or what?
We've got a stadium to be used for athletics, the cost of which is to be funded entirely by the club, and with our billionaire owner putting in not one penny. I find it interesting that this unwelcome information is sandwiched between our highly unusual splurge in the transfer market

You mean people telling us that there will be compromise?

Doesnt seem like bad news to me.

If it helps any of you stop freaking out, a number of American arenas and football stadiums have had temporary setups for things like basketball and political conventions in their close seasons. It involved taking out stands and rearranging others, but afterwards they were all set back up exactly the way they were before.

No point worrying until we get more information nearer the time.

What I will say is for all those moaning about keeping the "intimacy of Goodison" how many trophies or Derbies has this won us in recent seasons? Yet Man City had a running track how many trophies/derby games have they won in comparison?

Aslong as the stadium gets us a big money takeover down the line and we can reclaim our place at the top of the pile again I couldn't give a toss if the stands are slightly further back from the pitch. It's not a West Ham scenario so I don't see why people are worrying.

I've asked Joe Anderson to speak to fans (hopefully us/Adam) on his open letter. If not us, hopefully he'll speak with some fans...

Never knew we had so many expert architects and stadium designers signed up to GOT tbh

Amazingly, there are a couple who work in that industry!

You'd be surprised at the jobs some on here have - I routinely am anyway.

Touch harsh mate, none of any of the posters have another stadium to point out that they've have a running track and the stadium hasn't been compromised.

The big issue for me is that this surely holds up the design as the city won't know if it has the games until November time and then the RT will have to be added or taken out of the equation.
