I suppose, but at the same time RB shouldn't really be priority for us, I know most of us hate Neville and Hibbert playing there but we don't have a real RM at all. Clyne would have been a quality signing, considering the reported fee was 2.5m ffs!

Soul destroying we werent in for clyne.

EXACTLY the signing I LOVE....would be VERY happy if he bought him for 6mil as touted and then spent the other 6 on another u21 player.....sell one player (Rodwell) and buy 2 with the cash who have the same or more potential.

WELL DONE MOYES.....(if this comes off+if you dont sign owen+if you dont waste the rest of the cash)
I agree - as long as we don't have an oligark or a sheik dropping oil money on us, this is the way forward. Buy the young prospects, play them and sell them when the right offer comes in. The only think I have doubts about is Moyes - he does not like playing youngsters at all. They are only ever given a chance when injuries have forced his hand and the team more or less selected itself.

Yeah I agree, I recall him spunking 15m on Fellaini and not playing him cos he was too young.

OH WAIT

You have got to admit that Fellaini is the exception. I think his fee also forced Moyes' hand, he couldn't well put him on the bench when he had just broken the club transfer record for him could he.

No other young player - except Vic and Rodders - have ever been given a chance.

Or Rooney
Or Vaughan
Or Anichebe
Or Turner
Or Barkley

If he's 17, means he'll count as home grown in a couple of years right?

James Vaughan, Wayne Rooney, Dan Gosling, Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Magaye Gueye.

But yeah, nobody else.
