We dont have captain material at the club. That's the stark fact. Barry is a leader of sorts, but not vocal enough.

If we were to chage captain, I'd go with either Seamus or Nais as right now they seem to care more.

tbh for me I just want a captain that gets in peoples faces in the match when its called for. So I would nominate Howard, Baines, or Coleman. However there is probably a lot of stuff that goes on behind the scenes that we don't see that makes Jags a good captain.

Howard has the right mentality but I'm not a fan of GK captains. Stones will be ready in a year or two after he cements his place in the team. As for McCarthy, I love him but he needs to learn how to grab a game by the scruff of the neck...

Don't be pedantic, there are 2 CBs aren't there and he plays when fit. This thread is symtomatic of the utter gash spouted by many of you (Hi ex-Kippers) as soon as something goes wrong. Today was awful, we are all fuming but don't overeact

Think you overlook the fact he's been crap for England as well.
