Media relishing Everton’s demise

A bit unprofessional isn’t it? If that’s how he feels then alright but To come out with those views tho, a bit of a arse clown imo.
No issue with it myself.

Hes a Liverpool fan, if Liverpool were we are we would be relentless, from my own experience ive only ever had pity from the kopites I know, which is vastly worse than them finding it funny.

Expect there will be plenty of this. Let him mouth off to fill virtual column inches when nobody cares what he thinks. The sad thing is that the club has done this on itself and fans are left to pick up the pieces.

The majority of RS I know prefer that we stay up. Some of them wouldn't admit it in company. It suits them that we survive. But they'll gladly follow the herd and dance on our grave should it come to it.

TBH I would actually not wallow if they somehow were on the verge of relegation - I hate when they win but I would not gloat if they were heading out of the PL. This just highlights their lack of class.

We have come a long way from the friendly derbies, and the Wembley visits of 1984. Now we have to dodge bottles of p, chairs, just completely destroyed our previous relationship unilaterally

The media are relishing a BIG story. That's what fuels them - BIG stories. A bona-fide top flight club like Everton going down is a big deal in a league used to the usual yo-yo suspects going up and down year after year.

From Philip Carter wanting to pull the ladder up on the rest of the league pyramid back during the formation of the PL through to the days of us suddenly being rich and sneering at clubs like Southampton and Leicester about how we just take what we want there is a rich sense of schadenfreude. That's a very juicy morsel for anyone who writes about football. Especially given the shambles of diabolical decision making that it has been - pure panto.

There are plenty of barbs on GOT about weak players who can't stomach a touch of adversity and rightly so. But as soon as there's a bit of justifiable criticism and media relish over what is literally a game there seems to be plenty of Blues who can't stomach it either without bleating about unfair treatment and how thoroughly ghastly it all is.

The BBC big story is that them lot over the park have 2 games in a week! I’m sure we played 3 in a week not long ago, literally the media love in and now the sympathy is just ridiculous, actually makes we want to throw up.
