So looks like as my two, daughters want to go to Goodison for one last time, my last match could be a 2nd round league cup game! Here’s hoping for a few good (I.e. against crap teams) draws….

i do think mid season itl quieten down a bit and some games will go on general sale, first game of season is always a sell out

I'm not sure about the rights and wrongs of this matter. However, I've been a member for years, been on the ST waiting list for years. Attended every home game last season, purchasing my ticket with my membership. This feels as though I'm being rewarded for my loyalty. I'm also having to pay much more over a season, than a ST holder.
This is my argument about it if you have been to all the home games last season then surely you are more entitled to a ticket than someone who has been to only say 2 games. Surely people can't argue with that.

Sadly we've become like our friends across the park since Moshiri came in. Selling too many season tickets was always gonna create an opening for touts. Personally I despise the way Everton are run nowadays, since 2016 they have made it almost impossible to get a good seat if your not a STH. Stub hub had it's flaws, but you could get a good seat for something like 15 to 20 quid for most games. Then scumbags who run our club, decided to make you pay a membership, just so you could get a chance to get tickets and your paying full price, which you didn't on Stub hub for most games. They could of ensured like Celtic that tickets were sold face value but didn't, Evertons fault not Stub hub. Add to that you have people who buy away tickets every week and sell them on. I know a fella who does it, does anyone believe you have the amount of people who gave enough money or time to get to every away game. Surely anyone with half a brain cell would know that only a small number of fans go to most away games. If I'd wanted 10 tickets for Newcastle away last season I could of got them. Strange how all these "loyal" fans have work requirements when it's a unappealing game, yet they don't have them when we are playing at Anfield. Touting is now going to be the norm at Everton, just like at RS.

It already is, mate.

This outfit is offering tickets for Brighton at home at £70.

(down from £90 a few weeks ago BTW)

And they are advertising tickets for the last game v Saints at £500.

What's the point in anyone getting membership? Just put it down to stubs and don't fleece fans out of money for membership, when they have no chance of ticket. We used to be people's club, I could of kept my season ticket when I was ill and touted it on Stub hub, but I felt it was unfair to deprive someone who could attend of going game. Honest fans are being screwed by current system, it's highly likely that some of those with large amount of stubs are touts. We are becoming like RS, offering memberships, so you have chance to buy ticket, when you have no chance to get 1 if your a Scouser.

Not my argument, I'm saying you can't moan if you have less credits than the next person.

If Everton had stated that they were changing system before selling memberships, then that would be fine. However Everton have decided to change system that's existed for years with regards to membership. Everton could of simply said we are selling tickets by credits not first come first serve. Instead people have been sold memberships under belief, they would have priority access to tickets when they don't. Why bother with selling memberships, just say we are using credits as criteria and leave it at that.

Totally get your point but if you're not a local and can't get to matches every week, what do you do?

We can only get over to one or two games a season (which we've being doing for years and years), it usually costs us £300 plus each when you tot up flights, hotels and beer.

If I was a local, I'd be on your side and if you lived across the water, you'd be on mine. There must be a way that keeps everyone happy.

StubHub was great for everyone, I reckon. Long distance Blues could plan well in advance, flights cheaper etc. Locals could get good cheap tickets. Usually far, far better seats too.

We can all agree, however, that the membership 'ruse' the club pulled this year was underhand. Disappointed in our club tbh.

Do our membership cards hold our tickets on them?

Never quite understood what their purpose is
Tickets will be digital on your phone and always have been with memberships. There used to be a ‘print at home’ option but they’ve stopped that because of the touting situation. Your card is really only used for membership discount in the club shop.

They could have been up front about this before taking everyone’s membership fees for a start.

I don’t live locally and only manage to get to a couple of games a season with my two boys. I’ve been charged £75 renewal fees in total for what is now a virtually zero chance of getting any tickets.
Agreed I wouldn't have bothered buying a membership again if I had known. I went to 5 games at Goodison last season which for me is financially all I can really afford. I'll have very little chance it seems this season.
