Speculation today suggests Lyon have made a second offer closer to the £15m mark for the Dutchman.

O’Connor told Sky Sports: “I understand it would be a futile exercise if Lyon have offered that sum of money because Man Utd are looking for between £15m and £20m.

“Lyon remain in the box seat to sign him, they want him.”

IMO if we pay money for this fella we're off our heads. He has a woeful record in this league and therefore at this level, he also smacks as someone who has a bad attitude. I said it when the thread opened and I remain firm in the belief that this has to be a loan with a view to a permanent or UTD can do one.
