I know exactly what Koeman has seen in him. I saw the same as him. There's definite potential in the boy Depay. If Koeman can bring that potential to full fruition, we'll be laughing at that price tag in a years time.

Mind you, there's always a chance it doesn't work out. Absolute certain that it won't be for the potential of the player Depay, but everything to do with the boy's demons.

But as with every transfer it will present a certain risk.

Agreed, there is always a chance for people to not live up to potential. Look at Rodwell and at the current moment in time Stones. I would love to get the Depay that Koeman thinks he can get and develop for the low price we are trying.

I'm not that keen on him really, but if we paid £16-17m and it turned out he was a disappointment, we could probably still recoup £10m down the line due to his age.

It would be quite something to turn a Man Utd flop into a big success, sort of Karma for Rooney.

If he can live up to his potential, then he could offer much to the team. We could certainly do with more goals in the side and he has that.

COMPLETELY agree with this. I am very nervous, I want us to sign him so much. He went to ManUnited at wrong time, wrong people around him, wrong setup, leaving him in limbo. Everton would be absolutely perfect for him, Dutch coach, one of his mates scoring for fun and he would fit in nicely into this brand new midfield of less than six months of age. I also feel if he could reach the potential and he can, we will be laughing at the price. It feels almost sneaky if we get him, as if Mourinho doesn't realise how good he could be.

You only have to look at his you tube compilation from his time in Holland. Don't think I've ever seen a winger score so many goals from outside the box. There is undoubted talent there, but could it be realised with us?
