Did we just get bummed by Lyon? This might not be a bad thing but if we really wanted this kid then it's exactly what I was on about in the Moshi thread stating nothing has really changed yet. It seems we compete with the likes of West Brom and stoke ect for players, if we're after someone who's wanted by other big clubs even if they're not that big and are in snidey leagues like the French one then we walk away empty handed. That needs to change but it'll take time, money, patience and a bit of an upturn in our standing from where we are now.

I was under the impression last night that a deal had been agreed with player and club and things were going to start moving quickly with regards to this transfer. Our Itk's seem to have been picking up the chatter on Lyons behalf on this one.
