ESPN via BBC Sport Gossip says it was "substantially less than the £15m asking price" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/gossip

£15m price tag doesn't seem that high in todays money to be honest. Though if we were going in for him, I bet we would have had him + morgs in a double deal rather than separate deals.
