That's true, knew there'd be some technical reason behind it.

Can't believe the would make such a bad PR move as to actively let him off with paying the tax.

Well the Crown "owns" about half the land on the planet, technically. So tot up the value of Canada, the UK, India most likely, then lob in half a dozen palaces and castles, then decide what country or castle to sell.

Then do the same when King Charles dies.

Then King William.

Then King George (?).

Its a pointless exercise.

Charles hasn't avoided inheritance tax. The Queen's estate has.

When Charles dies then his estate will avoid inheritance tax if he passes his estate to William.

Urm pass the wealth - any millionaire would pay inheritance tax, but it's tax payers money they are given in the first place anyway...
