Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning gang , hopefully some news for you today @messymascot but whatever it is along as focused on you & your then that’s the main thing .

Today I’ll be mostly eating fruit , drinking water and trying to both exercise and exorcise the weekends excesses .

Football wise though Yesterday could have certainly been worse , I thought it would be so let’s hope we might be seeing an improvement.

Morning @messymascot I hope yu had a good night and they send you home today ,nice to see they got beaten last night ,that made me sleep better ,good morning to all the rest of the @messymascot gang too.
Raining here after -2 last night so could be good going to the shops.

On a business trip to Finland many years ago, I first became aware of how saunas were such a massive part of Finnish culture. I think practically every house has one.

After I had my business meeting, we went for a sauna, which was located within the same office building. During the sauna some women came in and beat us with soft leafy branches. Apparently it's a thing in Finland, as they believe it's good for the circulation. It was all very bizarre and slightly embarrassing.

Good morning Messy, Fred and the gang, Messy, along with the others I hope you hear some good news regarding going home, watched MOTD, we were deffo unlucky against Spurs, though didn't think it was a penalty in MHO, loved how Moyes celebrated the win against the RS, you could tell we engendered a dislike for them in his time with us.
Hard not to given he was up against Mr Benitez for half of his tenure here. In my opinion, that was the worst period in my memory for relationships between the 2 clubs and, more importantly, the 2 sets of fans.

Up until then I had family and good friends who were reds and we used to laugh things off and have a crack over the games. Still have one brother left alive and whilst I love him to bits we have an agreement not to talk Liverpool.

“Soft leafy branches “ you were lucky, my mates and I went to the public baths in Leningrad and the sauna there had big bunches of birch twigs. And you had to beat yourself.

The woman beating me with the branch was a dead ringer for Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love. I kept expecting her to shout, "Tell me what you know" as she vigorously flagellated me.

Good afternoon all. Just knocked off for lunch. Healthy eating starts anew today! How are you today Messy? Hope you get out of hospital today. How are you doing Fred. Still ploughing through the paperwork? Another lovely autumn day in Durham - cold but bright.
I was quite heartened by our display yesterday. We showed some desire. My son, who is very gloomy about Everton, probably because he's 28 and we have been awful for 98% of his life, said he thinks Spurs are an awful team and they made us look better than we are.

Doing OK thanks Anj. Decided to have a day off the paperwork today but may do a bit of housework this afternoon. Haven't hoovered for about a week and I suppose I have to get around to cleaning the bathrooms at some time. I mean I try and keep things clean as I go, as it were, but I know I also need to spruce things up every now and again too. That was always Cal's department. At some stage i'll also have to get the neighbour to come and show me how to switch the iron on lol

Having another healthy lunch today. Salmon fillet with a side salad, followed by fruit.

Get a cleaner. Seriously. When I got my current job, which was a promotion from my last job, I decided to get a cleaner because I could afford it and I hate housework. It is the best £24 I spend every week. I aligned my socialist principles with it by considering it as redistribution of wealth! Nice lunch. I am trying to perfect soup sandwiches. There is a market for them....somewhere lol lol

Good on you Anj, if it works for you and you can afford a cleaner, why not.
