Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Absolutely agree Richarlison is best on the left of a 3. However when the other options are Rondon and Tosun you really aren't left with much choice. Also Grays best position is left forward so it kind of makes sense.
Do you see how we set up as 433 or 451? I think our two wide forwards are too wide and too deep to be classed as a front 3 tbh. In a classic 3 the striker should play between the lines of the box really with the 2 wide forwards narrow as such and getting in around him. I just don't see that from us, hence why I said about Richy playing up on his own, it's a definite 451 for me but interested to know how you see it?

At the minute we are more 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1. However I think we need to be 4-3-3 which means we to get another CM in the team and drop a forward.

If everyone was fit I would go.

Pickford
Coleman Mina Godfrey Digne
Doucoure Allan Delph
Gray Calvert-Lewin Richarlison

Begovic Holgate Keane Gbamin Gomes Davies Townsend Gordon Rondon

If I wanted to balance the forward line Townsend instead of Gray. Obviously Delph would get injured but then it's up to one of the other 3 to step up.

Best Everton team in PL era. Feel guilty not having Cahill in there because I love him, but he didn't quite make it.

Martyn,
Coleman Watson Jagielka Baines
Kanchelskis Arteta Barry Pienaar
Rooney Lukaku

Manager: Moyes

And worst. Haven't included one or two game flops like Kroldrup or Mangala.

Gerrard
Hottiger Alcaraz Williams Martina
Alexandersson Nyarko Thomsen McGeady
Sandro Wheelie Bin

Manager: Walker

*shudders
I'd have Lescott in the defence ahead Jagielka I think.

Watson and Jagielka a bit too similar to play together.

You're probably right. I think I was trying to pick the team based on players who had the biggest impact for us, rather than whether they worked well together as a pair.

For a couple of seasons, Jags and Lescott were the 2nd best CB pairing in the league, after Ferdinand and Vidic. Lescott didn't look the same player at City. Sometimes it's all about the pairing at CB.

Sorry, mate!! Guilty as charged!!! Then snow was so bad it was obvious the game would not/should not go ahead. Peter Reid got a bad injury playing for Bolton. It was a Boxing Day so by the time I got back to Lime street, there was no buses going to Maghull !! Walked the 9 miles home!!!!!
I was there as well. Lived in Kirkby but got on a train to Liverpool that was rammed. A few of us jumped off just as the train started moving and got grabbed by the coppers. Took hours getting home and got a formal warning from local copper. Not one of my best days.

That team playing regularly together qualifies for Europe, NEA.

It's nice to be posting again. Hopefully over next few days and weeks I'll get back up to regular out put.
