I'm good thanks Harry. Getting back in the metaphorical saddle today so fingers crossed I'll have a winner or two today. As regards the footie, my expectations today are zero. City, IMO, are the finest team of the Premier League era, so losing to them is no shame. I just hope we aren't humiliated. It's he games against our peers that will determine our future at this level.

What are your plans for this evening? Are you spending it with Fi and Dom? Whatever your plans have a good one, and all the very best for 2023. Same goes to all my friends on here.

Got a deserved point Fred. With a Gray worldie.

Quiet night tonight, steak and chips, and managed to find some Shropshire Blue cheese in Waitrose earlier. (not my usual habitat). So all in all, a peaceful, reflective, evening in front of the log burner awaits.

Got a text from the eldest at midday, "Happy New Year to you and the cats". Then remembered he has been in NZ for a few weeks!

Excellent. With the turnaround in my racing fortunes today it's not been a bad end to the year. ;)

Is that the red blue cheese?, if you know what I mean. I have some Cornish Blue for later, it's a creamy blue a bit softer than Stilton and not as strong. I'll be having that for supper about 11 pm with a nice glass of Taylors port.

Just about to put some Chinese snacks in the oven and pour myself a nice Malbec. I have a nice gin and a bottle of dry vermouth chilling in the fridge to make myself a dirty martini or two later Mark. Maybe watch a few of my favourite music videos. I'm going to indulge myself anyway.

You have a good one mate and try and chill. And all the best for 2023.
