Blimey, are you two related? You all look very smart.Morning all. Greetings from The Northern Cape. Most northerly place in mainland Europe, and its bloody freezing. Still in shorts and T shirt though but I guarantee that won't be the case when I get off the boat.
Had a message from my sister saying there's an addition to the extended Fred family. My nephew's wife gave birth to a daughter, Melissa, 7lb. Unfortunately she sent the pic by Facebook messenger and I don't know how to get it transferred onto my phone to post on here. So I'm sorry ladies, you'll just have to accept my word that young Melissa is indeed very very cute.
In other news Rob made the schoolboy error of suggesting a nightcap in my cabin as there wasn't much going on. He didn't materialise at all yesterday so I don't think he'll be doing that again in a hurry

I have laid off the food pictures but I had to share my first sausage rolls ,they were fine as served but I think they lacked rosemary. Make them to the recipe the boss says :-

Then with the taste of ketchup we had to try the blueberry liqueur and fill the jar with the aronia start up .:-
Then the cheese and onion pie came out of the oven ,spoiled by a man with a knife trying to release the bubbles

Definitely, I’ve been binge watching all 6 series of Vikings to get a sense of it all and so I’m definitely channeling my inner Lagartha - look out worldYou’re right, my DNA came back 11% Sweden and Denmark,( probably explains why I like York so much lol) that’s the reason Fred calls me H, short for Helga the Horrible. As you have Viking DNA too, there’s two of us now, so he’d better watch his step.

Cheese and onion pie is the food of the gods- I always have one in Goodison before the game but it never looks (or probably tastes) as good as this. In fact cheese is the food of the gods - I love it
I agree on the cheese point I love it and despite our "diet " I sneak one out of the reduced shelf in LIDL whenever the wife turns her back . The recipe is simple and from the Hairy bikers .It has a slight bite/heat to it from the English mustard powder but you can sort that to your taste .I love it but the boss says no ,Cheese and onion pie is the food of the gods- I always have one in Goodison before the game but it never looks (or probably tastes) as good as this. more than yes . This week I snook a brie and a French peppery cheese into the basket ,I pay in there so it is too late if she hasn't noticed it before the cashier -my devious side asks her to get a couple of cans of cider to distract her from my wrongdoings . She does enjoy them whatever she says ,just like the sausage rolls today .
