Good morning all on this overcast day here in Hyvinkää. I hope all had a good night and have a fine day today . I thought I posted a couple of hours ago but it seems not .
One for the music fans ,I watch you tube music on Fridays but last night we went back to listening to our cd collection and the difference was stunning ,I am not an audiophile but is there any way I can watch bands and classical streams with better sound reproduction preferably for free .I know there are sites for music but it is nice to watch .

Ok so you know that I am not technically minded but very much into hifi.
1. You could stream music to your hifi system ( if you have one). There are various providers like Spotify but if you want better quality go for higher resolution like Tidal .
2. Provided you have a modern TV ( I'm sure you do ) you can run an external pair of speakers off your TV which will enhance the sound of YouTube.
Thanks for the reply but it is hifi video I am after .I have an amp and speaker set up on the TV and it works but is limited by the sound that You Tube send out ,I also have a stereo system that I can send to from the computer but it is an improved video set up that I want as we enjoy ballet for instance .
On another fork ,you said that your hearing isn't what it was ,do you have headphones that compensate .My son has problems including tinitis and bought some ,he says they are great .

No. Hearing isn't wonderful but not bad enough for hearing aids yet ( time enough for that). Besides which my speakers are very very good and it would be impossible to replicate using headphones regardless of quality.
The only time I listen via headphones is when I'm on the beach or cutting the grass.
I did the hearing app on my android phone using the stock ear buds ,the test went well for my left ear but I heard nothing in the right .Funnily I hear my wife all the time in that ear ! Just joking .

Morning all, bit cloudy here at the moment but sun forecast for later. Today I will be mostly indoors watching football, first the Lionesses and then our match this afternoon. Shame to miss the nice weather and also the fun day at our local park but needs must.lol.

So it's the Summer dog show and fair today , one of our best fund raising days.
And.....it clashes with the World Cup final and Everton!
As usual I'm meeting and greeting. Gates open at Lydiate at 12.30 with a 1 pm start .
I think the animals need me more than I need the football so here's the plan.
Watch first half of Lionesses and listen to 2nd half as I drive there and hope we win in normal time.
Record the Everton game and drive home without the radio. It'll be like the Likely Lads episode when they tried to avoid the England result.
Watch Everton game at home as if it's live.
Will it work? Fingers crossed!
