Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Last pic from the cruise (promise) that my scouse mate has just sent through. I was dancing with her at the Liverpool saleaway when THAT song came on. I was just about to leave when Michele came to the rescue with a pair of headphones. They were brilliant. I need to get a pair 😀

I’ll be honest, I’m really jealous about being on that boat on the Mersey, hope you enjoyed the whole trip lad……

I did mate. But the sailaway from Liverpool was special and surprisingly emotional. They played about 90 minutes of Liverpool bands hits and the atmosphere up there was fantastic, almost everyone singing and dancing. We sailed past the Gormley statues, many of which were half submerged. The effect was quite stunning.

I’m really pleased for you…..

We won, an actual game of football. We even came from behind, honestly, and scored twice. I can’t take this excitement…..
We (just about) beat the team at the bottom of league 2 . . . but I know exactly what you mean @peteblue.
They've only gone and drawn me in again haven't they?
Once a blue always a blue.
Best team in the world mate.

As you have probably guessed by now I arrived home safely from Southampton yesterday afternoon. I've had a Cornish Pasty for lunch today and watched back to back The Last Dinner Party YouTube videos last night so that's my cravings satisfied. lol

I have to say that I've had the most fantastic time. I don't think I've ever laughed so much. I had most evening meals with Rob and Michele and they invariably came to my cabin for pre dinner drinks too, but they aren't really night owls. I'm made up I met my old scouse mates so early in the cruise and we were usually the last to get kicked out of the show lounge. Also met a couple of women from Glossop who literally never stop laughing. They are like a double act. And then there's my bouncer mate Mark who's an absolute character. Everybody on the boat, both passengers and crew, knew him by the end of the 3 weeks. If nothing else I think it's given me the confidence to go on a cruise on my own in future, and in fact we've all exchanged contact details so we can share information on cheap deals and maybe meet up on future cruises. We were talking about January fly cruises to the Caribbean so you'd better watch out Jazzylol
I just so happen to be there at New Year this time!

Morning all,

Watched the game last night.

I've seen some crap Everton teams but that first 45 minutes was the worst I've ever seen. I genuinely have no idea what Dyche is trying to achieve or what he does in training.

Lumping long balls to a 19 year old on his debut against the worst team in the league, deary me.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Brilliant. Bet you had a tear in your eye .
So pleased that you had a great holiday and made new friends

Morning everyone hope you are well, and wasn’t it nice to see a positive end to a match for a change - it almost made up for the dross we were subjected to for the first 60 mins. It was great to see Beto score and let’s hope it’s the start of something exciting- and I know they are bottom of league two etc etc but any port in a storm as they say. I’m still optimistic to get out of this mess in spite of a lot of evidence to the contrary.
Talking about ports in storms, that sounded like an amazing experience @Barnfred 55 leaving Liverpool with music on and in great company- sounds like good friends and good memories made there.
Off to the kennels this morning and a bit of housework this afternoon- rock and roll lifestyle here. Have a great day everyone

Bored of the same old internet sites ? Try some of these ; the only one I know of is the excellent weird medieval guy so hopefully some of these are equally strange/funny/informative.

What ship were you on? You've probably already said in the thread, but I'm only now looking back over the past week or so.

Back in 2004, we sailed out of the Mersey on the QE2, and it was something special - still a wonderful memory. I want to take the family on a cruise again soon.

@jazzy, the first half was atrocious and got me, usually an optimist, worrying because Dyche looked to have no idea how to remedy the situation.

He just kept pointing to punt it long - I know he's tactically limited, but my God these are L2 dross. If that's all you know, we're in for a very rough ride.
