Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Single male. Of course not you and the bouncer .I just realised there was a bounder and a bouncer on board .
He was both a bounder and a bouncer. Eddie the Eagle was on board giving a couple of presentations and he had a very attractive young lady about half his age in tow. Mark said to her one night in the nightclub, "what are you doing with him, he's only famous for one jump" lol

in fairness Eddie just laughed it off. I think he was used to him by then.

At least he had a long Jump :)

As you have probably guessed by now I arrived home safely from Southampton yesterday afternoon. I've had a Cornish Pasty for lunch today and watched back to back The Last Dinner Party YouTube videos last night so that's my cravings satisfied. lol

I have to say that I've had the most fantastic time. I don't think I've ever laughed so much. I had most evening meals with Rob and Michele and they invariably came to my cabin for pre dinner drinks too, but they aren't really night owls. I'm made up I met my old scouse mates so early in the cruise and we were usually the last to get kicked out of the show lounge. Also met a couple of women from Glossop who literally never stop laughing. They are like a double act. And then there's my bouncer mate Mark who's an absolute character. Everybody on the boat, both passengers and crew, knew him by the end of the 3 weeks. If nothing else I think it's given me the confidence to go on a cruise on my own in future, and in fact we've all exchanged contact details so we can share information on cheap deals and maybe meet up on future cruises. We were talking about January fly cruises to the Caribbean so you'd better watch out Jazzylol
Really glad you had such a great time and that you feel confident to go on your own in the future. Big steps Fred. I'm well proud of you. :celebrate:

No idea about your rows of dots. Are they ellipses. Eggs always starts his posts with them. Either that or a band of travelling ants.

He was funny Anj. During the dinner (the table pic I posted earlier), which was about half way through the cruise, one of the guys was introducing strange topics into the conversation. He started talking about whether we'd had our bed sheets changed as they are supposed to do it every 6 days apparently. So we're all giving our tuppence worth and then Mark blurts out, I don't know I haven't slept in my own bed yet. lol We were howling and you could see all the other tables looking at us.

You are so so close Anj. ;) Do you know anybody who always finishes his posts with them?

Eddie is really famous in Finland and comes here often .

So he was saying. Apparently the Finnish National team took him under their wing and helped train him. He was actually quite an accomplished jumper by the time the next winter Olympics came around but wasn't selected by the British team because they had more stringent criteria. But he said his best 90m jump was 119m which was quite competitive.

Apparently he's had a hit single in Finland and one of his best mates was Matti Mykanen.
