Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this misty dew filled morn here in Hyvinkää. I hope all slept well and had a good sleep ,I certainly did as I have only been up long enough to make a cuppa .
I am loving this signing of Beto ,a lad who has owned the shirt and knows about Tony Hibbert what is not to love ,working in a KFC only four years ago ,the rise to fame we all love ,that Everton fever is here again .
Have a great day all .
Special mention to @Terrarian .Loving the posts T.

Thanks blue. Morning everyone.

Cup game tonight, would you like a full strength team or a changed line up? I'd like to see Cannon and Chermiti, Garner played in the centre but other than that we don't really have the strength in depth. As always though I would like us to give the cups a good go and not waste a chance at a potential trophy.

Raining today, think this has been the wettest and coldest summer I can remember. I've had to wear a coat more often than usual. Apart from a few weeks in April, it has peed down almost every day.

Did my shopping and prices are still increasing, for instance some cordial I but used to be £1.45, then went to £1.65, then £1.85 then only last month it was £1.95 and this month it is £2.

Not looking forward to cold winter, going to cost a fortune isn't it and no extra help, well unless you pop across the channel on a boat then you can have 4/5 star luxury. I wonder if they'll let me move to Rwanda, there'll be much more space, our poor island will sink with all the people on it at this rate lol

Anyway have a good one guys, fingers crossed we score some goals tonight.

Good morning all. I've just dropped Mr F off at work and I'm about to go back to bed with a cuppa. No plans today. I'm Billy No Mates. All the ladies (and gents) who lunch are doing other things. It looks like Tesco or Lidl might be my high point.
I want us to put a strong team out, score a few goals and win. I never understand this weakened team malarkey. This competition is one of only two things we could win. So why not go for it? Winning breeds confidence which could help the league form.
Have a good day x

The sun is now out and blue sky. Been like this all summer, makes it hard to know which outdoor wear to put on.

Morning all,

Impressed by how many of you are up and about already.

Well what a surprise, awoke to yet more torrential rain! As @Terrarian says it has been a very wet and cold summer. 6 weeks of dry hot weather in April / May and then hasn't stopped raining in June / July / August. Truly depressing.

Football tonight. Surely we will beat Donny won't we?

Yep liking the cut of Betos jib even if I've never seen him play except on YouTube. We need another CB and CAM before I will come around to the idea of avoiding relegation this season , Peter and the Wolf and all that.

Haircut day today which is fine for me but a big hassle getting mum to the hairdresser ( she can barely walk now ) . I need to speak to her hairdresser and see if I can persuade her to do mum at home.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Happy Christmas everybody ! Only 117 days to go.

Morning all, bright and sunny but a bit chilly here. Our new signing has me feeling cautiously optimistic. Totally agree @anjelikaferrett we should go all out to win this competition, winning is good for team confidence and also we could, given a favourable draw, win the thing. Didn’t take long for me to get carried away, about two sentences.lol. @Terrarian, food prices are shocking, gravy granules £4.50 twice the price they were a few weeks ago, I don’t buy them often so notice the difference when I do. We have also come to the end of our energy deal, even a new one, if and when offered, is going to be a big increase. Glad the sun has come out for you, hope it lasts. @blue the puzzle had me stumped, would never have solved it. I’m off to see my friend soon. Have a good day, all.💙

Yep. I bought mayonnaise yesterday £4 ! To be fair the non vegan one ( which I have but Mrs won't touch ) is "only" a £1.

I used to only buy Heinz ketchup but thats about £4 too and I just refuse to pay it. So, bought cheapo Dandero or something like that ketchup in Aldi , 89p and better than Heinz.

Prices are indeed getting ridiculous.

Morning all, sat in my sons waiting for the estate agent photographer and trying not to clutter the place up. Reading the posts from @Gwladysover and @anjelikaferrett makes me realise what women of our age put up with and how glad I am that it’s being addressed albeit slow progress. I’m sad to see that it’s still an issue for young women but I hope they can be assertive enough to call it out, but sadly due to power and control I can’t see it ever disappearing. Nowadays like @Gwladysover I‘d like to think I’d just tell them where to go.
I really like the third kit that’s just been released - in fact I’ve liked all 3 this season and the training tops.
Lets hope we win tonight, I’m not saying any more than that in case I jinx it. Maybe we’ll see the new signings who knows. I remain cautiously optimistic that we I’ll get out of this predicament.
have a fab day everyone 😊

Oh yes and don’t get me going on prices - toothpaste!!! How can a product like this be astronomical- the next thing is they’ll be saying the dental health of the nation is poor - but no nhs dentists and toothpaste that costs a bomb. When it’s things related to well-being that people have to buy - well that’s just scandalous 😡

Hi T remember it is layers that count when trying to keep warm ,that and Daisy on your lap will sort the winter out . The prices here are the same we have had on average a 50% rise in everyday goods ,there agian the figure I was given as a lad was that things doubled in price every 7 years and we are now past half way from the outbreak of Covid ,we aren't seeing any reductions except for petrol as ithe price is lower now than 2019 .Stay safe and say hello to Daisy .

Thank you Blue. We had a lovely meal with our kids and grandchildren, lots of happy smiling faces, granddaughter looking like a smart young lady and our one year old grandson was as good as gold. Got back home to the result and an issue with the pub, completely ruined the evening, but my wife really enjoyed herself so all was good really……
A very belated happy anniversary Pete. Glad Mrs B enjoyed it.
