Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all. I've just dropped Mr F off at work and I'm about to go back to bed with a cuppa. No plans today. I'm Billy No Mates. All the ladies (and gents) who lunch are doing other things. It looks like Tesco or Lidl might be my high point.
I want us to put a strong team out, score a few goals and win. I never understand this weakened team malarkey. This competition is one of only two things we could win. So why not go for it? Winning breeds confidence which could help the league form.
Have a good day x
Have to tell you this story. On one of the formal nights I was sat next to a lovely lady called Angie at dinner. Her husband had died around 4 years ago and she was on the cruise with his lifelong friend and best man, who's wife had also died about a year ago. They are now an item. Anyway she was a really good laugh and I spent most of the dinner talking to her. The next day I'm off the boat with my new best mate Mark (yes we were scoping out somewhere to go for a few drinks) who just happened to be on the same table the night before, which was unusual as he normally went to the "singles" pre dinner get together and generally turns up chaperoning 7 ladies. So as we're walking we pass this couple coming the other way and they give us both a big smile and cheery hello. I sort of wave and smile back. That's not another one of your harem I ask Mark. No he replies, you were sitting next to her at dinner last night. It was Angie lollollol

As you have probably guessed by now I arrived home safely from Southampton yesterday afternoon. I've had a Cornish Pasty for lunch today and watched back to back The Last Dinner Party YouTube videos last night so that's my cravings satisfied. lol

I have to say that I've had the most fantastic time. I don't think I've ever laughed so much. I had most evening meals with Rob and Michele and they invariably came to my cabin for pre dinner drinks too, but they aren't really night owls. I'm made up I met my old scouse mates so early in the cruise and we were usually the last to get kicked out of the show lounge. Also met a couple of women from Glossop who literally never stop laughing. They are like a double act. And then there's my bouncer mate Mark who's an absolute character. Everybody on the boat, both passengers and crew, knew him by the end of the 3 weeks. If nothing else I think it's given me the confidence to go on a cruise on my own in future, and in fact we've all exchanged contact details so we can share information on cheap deals and maybe meet up on future cruises. We were talking about January fly cruises to the Caribbean so you'd better watch out Jazzylol
