Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

He’s a young lad, he’s not having the best start to his season but why do we always have to have a whipping boy. I’m sure it will massively help his confidence ☹️.
First Post I read Val was great cross for the goal but his starting point should be doing 3 or 4 of those a game. The second post just said minimum. He's a full back for Christ's sake and a young one at that. Even peak Gerri wasn't doing that many great crosses a game. The posts went downhill after that.

I don’t know tbh but they must sense the vibes coming from the fan base. I would advise them not to but if it were me I’d be curious. Can’t believe Keane doesn’t read them, poor lad is devoid of confidence to the point of prob needing professional help

Most footballers are younger than many of our kids Val. Of course they are into social media. If they are needy enough to google their name or whatever, no idea, but they would still get messages on facebook, insta, etc etc.

Didn't watch the game ( too much to do before going away) what was the considered view ?
It was a really good game. Very entertaining. We created good chances but missed too many. Because of that we maybe didn't deserve to win. However if we had lost it would have been a travesty. I really liked Danjuma, Pickford was so unlucky with the own goal but saved us at the end. Good to see McNeil come on as a sub.

Thanks Anj. I read good things about Beto and an amazing save by Pickford at the end

He ain’t the man we need sadly. Very suspect defensively and his attacking play isn’t making the case.

It must be very hard for them. There will no doubt be occasions where the player believes he’s had a good game, the manager agrees, then the trolls and the idiots pile in….

Recently, yes. During later periods of last season, I thought he showed signs of promise, but sadly we can't really afford to give him time to nurture and develop.

Whether he comes good or not, we need a first choice XI right now - we need someone we can rely on and who'll make our defence better, not worse.

Same with Mykolenko really - both are suspect.

Absolutely spot on , he needs to watch and learn from Seamus and both of them need a fit and functioning McNeil in front of them.
