Morning all, weather is very sultry here, thunderstorms forecast for later. I’ve just had an email to say my bid on Seatfrog won an upgrade to first class for tomorrow so happy days. The weather looks a bit iffy for next week, a lot cooler but if it keeps dry I’ll be happy. Think we may be in Durham on Wednesday @anjelikaferrett but let you know nearer the time.

My daughter loves Tequila Rose. She introduced me to shots of it last year. I've had worse. I can't do any aniseed flavoured drinks. I hate ouzo and Pernod, just don't like the taste. And as for retsina @jazzy .

Ouzo is great in Greece whilst people watching. Doesn't travel well though.

Used to love Pernod but, funnily enough, I haven't been physically sick due to alcohol intake since I stopped drinking it.

My worst alcohol experience was after drinking something called Clan Dew. It was a Scottish brand consisting, I think, of whisky and wine. Whoever dreamt that up needs castrating.

I remember a horrible hangover from Car Bombs the night before (Stout, Bailey’s and Whiskey in the same glass).

Snakebite in Liverpool is cider and lager I think.

In my yoof a snake bite was Carlsberg Special Brew mixed with Stag cider. Extremely strong mixture.
