I haven't been to Rivington Pike for years. We used to go when we were kids for a day out. It will be an emotional time for you but a nice time too x

It used to be tradition (and still is to a degree) to go up Rivvy on Good Friday. I think I’m going to have to find some waterproof eye make up for next week. I’m usually the sort of person who stays calm in a crisis, and I hope I can be like that and get through the morning and the ceremony before I turn into a blubbering wreck. Happy tears of course

Good morning. I worked like a beaver yesterday and still didn't get finished so I'm doing overtime to get the last bits done. I hate leaving stuff for other people to finish. It didn't help that someone sent in 34 separate documents to me and I had to read all of them and take account of them. I'm only working as much as I need to to get finished - hopefully about 4 hours.
then it is into Durham to get some Euros and then to pack.

Hope you get finished sooner than you think. Wish I was going to Durham, got withdrawal symptoms so we watched one of those walk along videos on YouTube last night . lol

Morning all, lovely day here. Been baking this morning as Harry is coming for this afternoon so will need a constant supply of sausage rolls, Rice Krispie cakes and Smartie topped traybake. Hannah, grandkid no3 has gone on a school trip this weekend and to her horror no mobile phones are allowed. “What on earth are we supposed to do on the coach.” “You might try talking to each other or looking out the window?” I just got a blank look in reply.

Hello all. I ended up doing 5 hours overtime which was OK. I started at 5.30 am when the cat wanted to go out so I was done by 10.30. Then I went into Durham- it was heaving. I heard someone say the uni were having an open day so that was why it was packed. However I got my Euros, did some bank stuff with my Dad's account in my executor role and now I'm home - still thinking about packing. I might have a coffee and then sort my stuff out. I'm very excited now.
I can't make my mind up about 777 - surely it's better than what we've currently got? Only time will tell.

A few years back my wife, who was a primary school teacher, was on one of those school outings when the coach broke down in the middle of nowhere. While they were awaiting the replacement coach all the kids needed to use the loo. So, into the nearest field with them. Boys to the right and girls to the left. While the boys had no problem piddling into a ditch the girls were all looking around for the bathroom. Not one of the girls had ever gone to the loo outside of a bathroom. They were all 7 year olds.
