I'm so jealous of @anjelikaferrett !! She is rockin' the WoGOT shirt and she is in Greece!! Lucky lady! I'm so happy for @Val P and many congrats to her son and new daughter-in-law!!

Congrats to @DualityNSNO on the new job!!! At this rate he is going to start his new job before I start mine!! lol Yes, I am still waiting.

Here is a video of something new, cool, and weird which describes Vegas to a T!!

A few beers later and a discussion about Flanagans, The Swan ( Wood Street) and The Lobster Pot I feel we are best friends. We were also told by a Greek gentleman from Athens who was also on his hols ( and who had a non yappy, very well- behaved senior dachshund called Pookie with him) that the beach bar did amazing food. However this was not currently available because the chef had gone for a swim. Sure enough, some time later a cheery mature lady came out of the sea, waved to everybody, picked a few herbs from nearby pots and made her way to the kitchen.

I love the look and sound of that bar. The beer you have there is Nisos (meaning island) the one I like is Nymphi the label says ΝΥΜΦΗ and has a black and white drawing of a mermaid/nymph looking woman on it. Did you like Nisos - I did but then again there’s not many I don’t like in a freezing cold glass on a hot day by the sea ….

Good morning everyone- just crashing back down to earth today as life gets back to normal again. I’ve enjoyed catching up with the posts for the last couple of days - @anjelikaferrett repping us ladies in her T shirt, (does anyone know if you can still get them as I have one but would like a back up in case I can’t get one when mine gets worn out? ) and @blue1948 having nice things to look forward to - good luck to @DualityNSNO don't think we’ve spoke before but 👋 .
I‘m still buzzing after the three points and really looking forward to the game on Saturday but there’s always that niggling feeling that tells me not to get ahead of myself. Dog walk for me this morning- quite a few beautiful newbies in this week which is sad but I love getting to know them and seeing their little personalities and of course it’s always fab when they get their new home. Then this aft it will def be a nap as I have been sleep deprived since last Thursday and need to catch up.
Have a great day all and for those in the UK it sounds like this might be the last one before the forecast storm hits us.
 
Morning everyone,

Had a great day in the garden yesterday.

Since we came back off holiday I've created an island bed in one of the shadier areas of the garden.

About 10 years ago I played a silver birch tree in the middle of a lawn which because it's in dappled shade had a lot of moss in it.

So I cut out a huge island bed of about 30 x 15ft around the silver birch.

Yesterday I added about 10 barrel loads of well rotted chicken and sheep manure ( which of course we have plenty of !)

Then me and Mrs J "found" 6 rhodis, 2 pitisporum and a large Camilla and magnolia that otherwise were completely obscured and hidden by other shrubs within the garden.

Now planted in the island bed they look fantastic and I now just need to bark the area to finish them off.

So off to the gym today and then start to batten down the hatches for the anticipated storm tomorrow.

Not with that shirt, but since my mum lives in the arse end of Southern Greece - should get her one of those, or for my SO when we go visit lol

If nothing else it will be amazing as if by some chance someone recognises it - she doesn't know a lick of English lol

Also @anjelikaferrett Nissos is a great beer imho too!

Well I had the benefit of looking while having one and did apply to basically everything. These guys rejected me first and hired someone else but then realised they needed a 2nd person and called me up, quick tech + personal interview and it was done. Naturally we'll see how it goes but I think it'll be better.

Hope yours goes easy too! Might be a case like that old joke - you wait for the bus, it doesn't come around for an hour, and then 6 busses arrive at the same time lol

The Vegas ball... thing has quickly become my favourite nonsense of the world as of recently lol
 
It’s been a tough year regarding our cats , particularly for Mrs bl, January we lost a 17 year old to old age, a month later a younger cat to cancer and Gertie out tortoiseshell is sadly still missing , although we haven’t given up hope on her. Anyway , meet our new kittens , our “ ginger ninja” Junior and his wee sister Daisy . They are very appropriate for this thread, a ginger in a safe haven and a remote virtual cousin for @Terrarian ’s Daisy 🐈 🐈‍⬛🙂
