Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

It’s been a tough year regarding our cats , particularly for Mrs bl, January we lost a 17 year old to old age, a month later a younger cat to cancer and Gertie out tortoiseshell is sadly still missing , although we haven’t given up hope on her. Anyway , meet our new kittens , our “ ginger ninja” Junior and his wee sister Daisy . They are very appropriate for this thread, a ginger in a safe haven and a remote virtual cousin for @Terrarian ’s Daisy 🐈 🐈‍⬛🙂

Gorgeous x

I love the look and sound of that bar. The beer you have there is Nisos (meaning island) the one I like is Nymphi the label says ΝΥΜΦΗ and has a black and white drawing of a mermaid/nymph looking woman on it. Did you like Nisos - I did but then again there’s not many I don’t like in a freezing cold glass on a hot day by the
It had quite a fruity flavour to it
( oooh get me, critiquing beer!🤣) Mr F wasn't keen but I liked it.

Dunno where to post this but handing in my resignation at my current job today as I got a decent and more future-oriented offer elsewhere.

Somewhat chuffed, the last 6 months or so at current place were filled with lies and frustrations... Hope the new place ticks better!

How's everyone, by the by? I rarely post here but read a fair bit, hope everyone's doing as good as can be!
Good news on the job front. Never easy starting somewhere new but after a month it’s like you have always been there.

These scammers really need to try harder…just received another one ‘Hi Mum it’s me, I managed to break my phone etc etc’….. ok I’m not anybody’s Mum, but should I send money and bank details to them anyway. 😂. I wish they would be more creative, this is very old hat now, and I can’t even be bothered to wind them up for a few days……
Scum of the earth those people. Some poor soul must fall for it or they wouldn’t be doing it still.

So cute 💙

Good morning everyone- just crashing back down to earth today as life gets back to normal again. I’ve enjoyed catching up with the posts for the last couple of days - @anjelikaferrett repping us ladies in her T shirt, (does anyone know if you can still get them as I have one but would like a back up in case I can’t get one when mine gets worn out? ) and @blue1948 having nice things to look forward to - good luck to @DualityNSNO don't think we’ve spoke before but 👋 .
I‘m still buzzing after the three points and really looking forward to the game on Saturday but there’s always that niggling feeling that tells me not to get ahead of myself. Dog walk for me this morning- quite a few beautiful newbies in this week which is sad but I love getting to know them and seeing their little personalities and of course it’s always fab when they get their new home. Then this aft it will def be a nap as I have been sleep deprived since last Thursday and need to catch up.
Have a great day all and for those in the UK it sounds like this might be the last one before the forecast storm hits us.
I enquired back in the Spring about the WOGOT t-shirts. Johnny was in the process of setting up a new website and said he would let me know if and when they were available, haven’t heard so far. Will message him again. Hope you had a good nap this afternoon.

Two of our elderly neighbours fell victim to scammers. One was your washing machine insurance has expired, to ensure continuation we require bank details, card number etc. She gave the details but immediately had second thoughts and rang me. I was able to contact her bank and get her card stopped and no harm done. The other wasn’t so fortunate and gave her bank details to a “detective constable ” who rang to tell her she needed to transfer her money to a “safe” account. She lost £3000, all she had in the world. The bank didn’t want to refund as she had given her permission for the funds to be withdrawn, they eventually did her her money back but only after being threatened with bad publicity.

So easy for a vulnerable person to fall victim to their patter. At Mass the other week it even came up with a warning given to seek advice from a trusted person if unsure. It must have happened locally for that message to be given sadly.
