Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well I’m shattered tonight. Monday I was awake from 3am onwards, took a mate to the hospital at 8am until 11am, got home to look after my wife, who was being looked after by my son, then dealt with appointing a new manager for the pub, dealing with the current staff, plus all the HR stuff, before taking my wife the pub then home, before going back and being the Bingo caller for the night. Everyone had a great time, I was falling asleep. Had a decent nights sleep before taking my wife out for the day, back to the pub dealing with staff issues, cellar issues etc. Then my mates wife came in and told me her husband had been diagnosed with cancer, we hugged and both cried. Whatever energy I had left disappeared before I had a couple of pints and came in here. Please excuse me if I’m being a bit miserable but I’m not sure if I can take much more bad news this year…….

Oh Pete. I am sorry to hear this. You really are having a rough time. Take care of yourself- seriously don't neglect your own well-being while trying to sort everyone else out. X

Morning everyone,

So sad to hear of @peteblue problems, hope things pick up soon.

Been a chaotic few days here. We have been looking after sister in law's dog Susie whist sil is on holiday in Scotland.

Susie is good and gold you wouldn't even know she was there .

Unfortunately Rosie , sweet as she is most of the time can also be a little bugger and has become a jealous boots this week which culminated in her attacking Susie last night for no reason other than Susie got up to have a stretch. Fortunately no harm done but need to keep a close eye on her.

Anyway another excellent and unexpected win last night although the game at the weekend is far more important.

Mrs J at the Rescue shop today so I think that I will ask Susie to look after mum whilst I pop to the gym . After that , I've no idea although it must be time to start a new book.

Have a lovely day everyone.

The temperature has dropped a bit over the last couple of days. It's around 23 to 25°C. Still lovely though. We had our tea in one of the harbour tavernas. Food was lovely and the whole area was surprisingly lively as all the well-dressed yachty types had come ashore to eat. Its so easy to spot casually, but expensively, dressed, rich people🤣. In our taverna were several members of a yacht crew. Also easy to spot. In true sailor fashion, they drank and smoked continuously and not so much as a piece of bread was brought to their table. Here's my attempt at an arty shot of the moon above the church

So sorry to hear of yet more bad news @peteblue ,it is hard to find something useful to say that hasn't been said before ,we are all here for you and we try to understand and we hope that will help . Stay strong that man.

Good morning all on this fine day here in Finland .So sorry to hear of @peteblue 's problems . A good win last night if only because we were the best team ,I had to watch an Arab channel so missed the commentary as much as I get annoyed at them ! We do look a better side in attack now than we have for a while .
I hope all are well and had a good night after the lovely surprise of our second win in a row .Have a great day all .We are off to take the Juke to a new home on our way out shopping ,it is bitter sweet as I love to drive it but needs must as they say .COYB
