I remember that this time last year while out running country lanes there was a big flock of about 20 -30 Goldfinches that I disturbed. I believe they flock together this time of year and some migrate further south. Incidentally, a flock of Goldfinches is called a “ Charm” , nice description .

No Bruce this trip Anj. It was centered around Americanafest in Nashville where we saw over 40 acts in various venues over 5 days, they were short sets or songwriter rounds. We saw plenty of live music in Chicago and St.Louis and we’re going to Austin City Limits festival on Saturday, the Foo Fighters are headlining.Good morning all. I hope you are feeling better @Terrarian . As others have said, go back to the GP and get an increase. Glad you had a good lunch @Barnfred 55 . it's lovely when you meet friends and the time just flies by. @bigjonny your trip sounds amazing. Was Bruce supposed to be part of it? He's postponed all the rest of his tour because he's ill. Sorry if you were planning on seeing him. Enjoy Jersey @jazzy and Happy Anniversary. Son, although still unofficially engaged, has set a date for next May. I went to the gym last night. I'm going again this morning. These two events may or may not be connected.
A follow up to our holiday was that while we were out with my brother, my sister in law reminded me that I had promised my youngest niece that I would go to Australia for her graduation. She's doing a midwifery degree. This was after Dad's funeral and I was a bit drunk. I do remember telling her that I would. Apparently my niece is very excited about this. So, it looks like the holiday for 2025 is sorted!
No plans for today. I was going to meet my ex boss for lunch but she has hurt her back lifting a bag of feed for her herd of alpacas.

I feel there is a lot more to sunlight than we say ,Finland has the highest suicide rate in the western world because of the long dark nights ,before a certain G&T expert pipes up I know it is in Eastern Europe .On a more serious note lots of illnesses are worse as the days shorten as it usually brings damper weather too.My step daughter is bi-polar and has a degree of control over her meds where she is allowed to tweak things up and down a bit depending on her moods , while working within parameters set for her. I do notice that as we enter autumn/ winter she has a bit of a dip before coming back up again. Good luck with getting your increase right
I believe St whatever his name is had the decision stay against him ,therefore I suppose they will want to start a super league with all cards rescinded .
At first I thought the decision was terrible ( like many of the ones we've been on the end of ) but the longer this goes on and the more noise coming out of Anfield is making me sick. I despise that lot.
Same here. Yes it was a shocking decision but they think they are untouchable. If that game gets replayed then there is no hiding the bias towards them that we all Know exists.. I hope Spurs tell them to do one.
Oh it was a dreadful decision mate, but nothing that every other club or national team (Ireland V France and Lampard goal against Germany spring to mind and of much higher consequence) have had to contend with numerous times over the years. The fact that VAR is involved should make absolutely no difference. A bad decision is a bad decision and you just have to knuckle down and get on with it. I had SSN on earlier and the Klopp presser came on. I turned off after 5 minutes of Klopp telling everybody why the game should be replayed. Surprised myself I lasted that long tbh.
I agree Anj. In fact I'd go as far as to say that they should refuse to replay the game if ordered to do so, even if they had to forego the 3 points. It would put the EPL in an impossible position which is how it should be if they went down that route. I know you said it tongue in cheek the other day Anj, but this whole farce seems to be gaining momentum. The LFC juggernaut in operation.
