Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this still dark day here in Finland .what a great win and as @peteblue says second goal ,an early leader for goal of the season .I hope all are well and had a good sleep .The girls left yesterday and I must say my GD is very dependant on her mum asking her questions that had me worried ,such as do I like cider ? and have I tried this before ? then not eating until her mum started and gave the nod ! It is hard to justly approve of her having a sexual relationship whilst not being confident enough to try food on her own .Is it me or are people now just more laid back and in less of a rush ,with reference to my son who said he would be ready in ten minutes to appear more than one hour later to tell me his wife would be another 15 minutes ?
Have a great day all .COYB

Hello everybody. I've just finished overtime ( might as well earn some money if I've no other plans!) and I'm about to go to Tesco. I've been thinking about chili for a few days.I haven't made it for ages so tonight's tea is chili. I'm going to use your recipe @Barnfred 55 . And there will be piccalilli as a condiment option!🤣
What a great win yesterday. We had to start converting the chances sooner or later. Unfortunately I've seen who our next opponents are. Away as well. Still, you never know....
Have a great Sunday all x

Enjoy Anj. I made a pan the other week and still have a portion in the freezer.

Weather's gorgeous down here again so another barbie for me tonight, probably the last one if the year. Though if we get a dry evening before the clocks go back I may get it out once more to cook a steak I've been meaning to defrost. I always prefer them on the barbie. ;)

Gorgeous but surreal day in Jersey on our 35th.

Weather stunning so decided to walk from St Brelades Bay to St Ouen.

St Ouen bay is incredible from the Corbiere light house to the Faulkner fish restaurant at the other end it stretches for over 5km of pure white sand.

So, being the soft arses that we are we walked the whole way 11 Kms in total.

Stopped for a pit stop on the way back. DJ playing sounds , beers and nachos in the sun what's not to love. Sat in the baking sun with a pint of Madri listening to Talking Heads mixed with Chic it was truly "once in a lifetime".

2 beers later and we decided that we couldn't face the walk back and hey presto the local bus that only runs once on a Sunday turns up and dropped us half a mile from the hotel.

Just as well as we are walking into St Aubin tonight ( only 3 km this time ) for our anniversary meal. On the way back the restaurant phoned " sorry but we've lost all gas so we can only offer a limited menu". We will roll with it , as long as the leccys on and the wine is cold we will be fine!

Have a great evening everyone!

Just been on FaceTime to grandkid no.3. who’s 10. She said she would sing me her favourite song of the moment which went something along the lines of “killing my ex”. Conversation went :
Hannah: Do you like that song?
Me:Well I’ve never heard it before but No the words aren’t very nice.
Hannah: I suppose they didn’t have songs like that when you were young.
Me: No they didn’t, I think that music was much better than it is now.
Hannah: I bet you’re glad you’re not alive now then.
