Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I don't think the best digital artistry known to mankind could ever make that sound great Jazz. It's a dreadful song mind you.

In fairness to the band it was Halloween and they all went dressed as Britney. The crowd seem to like it but they are Americans :)
Fred , I've just watched something I recorded from last night Kate Bush Through the 80s off MTV 80s.

Absolutely fantastic stuff. Starts with Babooshka and end with This Woman's Work.

Mate as I've just said in another thread ( about styles of football ) if we all liked the same thing the world would be a boring place.

The only thing that surprises me ( as you've said before) is that generally speaking we have very similar musical taste.
No I get that Jazzy. As it happens a new video was posted yesterday of a gig they did last month and, for a change, the sound quality is pretty good. It has quite a lot of their unreleased stuff on it and gives a good image of their live show. If you want to look at it I can post it (if I can manage to find it again), but don't feel obliged as I'm pretty sure your mind is already made up. ;)

I will post this though, more to introduce you to a YouTube account of Justin Hawkins from the Darkness where he reviews new singles. It's really good as he breaks down the songs from a musical aspect and it's so interesting. I've watched about 30 of them and he did one on the Now and Then that may interest you. Anyway, enjoy;)

He actually seems like a decent fella Justin and his broadcasts are quite good.

He has a big following. You get the odd knob on there commenting but most seem like your genuine music lover. I think it's very clever the way breaks down the songs he reviews, but I guess if you know how to read and write music it isn't that difficult.

He's taking his show on the road next year. Not sure how that's going to work.

News from the pub. On our table we always had a group of friends and had a great time. This sodding year we’ve had two wives confirmed with Alzheimer’s, one mate confirmed with Parkinson’s together with his various operations, one diagnosed with Lung cancer and last week another had an emergency tracheostomy and is still in hospital. I purposely didn’t mention the last one after AT told us about the accident. Anyway tomorrow I’m taking the one lad to the surgery to get his various incisions checked before going out to see my mate who had the tracheostomy in the hospital. If I could burn this year I would do…sorry for being miserable…..

Sadly mate it’s not just the year but the fact that we are getting older too, and the people we love and associate with are getting older with us. Back in March I had a guy from our running club pushing me all the way at the end of a10k race, shouting at me saying he was catching me in a bit of fun , but I beat him by 1 sec . I learnt the other day that he’d died suddenly, he was about 10 years younger than me ☹️. News on cancers, serious illnesses is sadly becoming more common, if it’s our good fortune to avoid such things we need to be thankful and make the most of things , and of course where we can help those less fortunate.

I think you are right. None of us like to think we are getting older but it is a fact of life. In my head I'm still nineteen. And with ageing comes all the things you mention. It is still rubbish though @peteblue . Hope your friend in hospital recovers well.
Having said that growing older is a privilege that many never experience so we should experience and we should be thankful we can experience it - wrinkles, creaky knees, dodgy backs and all.
