Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

The flight out of Liverpool was rather unsettling with the last remnants of the storm still resonating. So glad it is such a short flight though so shouldn’t complain.

Met an old friend yesterday by chance. We hadn’t spoken in maybe 2 years but there he was in the bar I went into pre match. Had a good catch up and he introduced me to his Scouse buddy who was full of Everton stories for me. I enjoyed that as much as the game itself.

Hi all. At last I have something good to share. Mr F went for an interview on Friday for a proper job, not temporary or working through an agency. Today ( I know who works on a Sunday?!) he was offered a job. They interviewed 15 people for 5 jobs so I'm very proud of him. It's very close to where we live - 7 minutes drive away in Sedgefield and there is a bus service that goes there. It's no problem me dropping him off early mornings or picking him up late at night but if he gets the bus one way it would be much simpler for my working pattern.

He starts on Tuesday.

Is there any genre of tiredness more debilitating to a person than ‘Monday Morning Tiredness’?

I imagine not having to negotiate a working Monday must be one of the greatest retirement perks.
I must admit I don't miss working on a Monday , or the rest of the week for that matter.

However the first thing I noticed about retirement was the lack of routine and that's why I found it necessary to put an alternative structure in place ( so Gym first thing every morning , gardening etc ).

I would have to be the same to avoid being in the pub every day. It’s all about routine for me.

Morning all, after a fantastic weekend it’s back to reality in the flatlands. After being serenaded on the steps of Lime Street station (They’re going to win the Cup and they’re going to win the League apparently) we arrived home in time to see the Posh win at Wembley. After that we watched the second episode of the Chronicles of Armagh, perfect way to wind down. Think I said this before but what a place live @Armaghtoffee .
Have a good day, all.💙
