That’s a super banner Val, well done to Mr Val. I was listening to The Band’s “ The night they drove old Dixie down “ today , it contains the line “ …there goes Robert E Lee “ and it reminded me of another iconic banner we had maybe ‘77 League Cup when Gordon Lee was manager “ General Lee’s Army” , perhaps not realising he was a Confederate General . Not surprised we ending up loosing that one !
He’s being all cool about it but I can see he’s secretly massively chuffed

How’s Mrs BL doing now, hope she’s feeling better

My husband is made up - his banner which he made for the 1984 milk cup final has been voted one of two iconic banners by the fans and has been replicated for the game on Sunday. The last pic is a still from the Howard Kendal DVD that came out a few years ago. That’s him on the pic - aw the guy I fell in love with 💙
That's brilliant x

Morning everyone,

No blue I didn't get a good night's kip as little bugger Rosie got me up for a pee at 4.30am and then gnawed her plastic toy for the rest of the night keeping me awake all whilst Mrs J was oblivious doing Zs.

Ah well she promises to behave herself for the visit of @anjelikaferrett ...not!

Her response ( not Anj) to being told off is to bombard you with kisses.

Anyway in other news it's a very bright but cold morning ( why did I turn that bloody central heating off ) and with a lovely weather forecast I think I will be cutting some grass today.

Then no doubt I will be nervously listening for the Luton result - what on earth have Everton been dragged down to - before I watch what should be a great Cup Semi final.

Well whatever you do have a lovely day everyone.

Hello again. Greetings from Liverpool. Just arrived. The new baby was born about an hour ago. All are well. We are catching up with our cousins tomorrow. Alcohol will be consumed followed by
tea in Ma Bakers. Hopefully I'll also get a chance to see my eldest niece who is over from Australia visiting her Nan and Grandad and then on Sunday I'm offloading some stuff from my Mum and Dad's house to this thread's favourite charity. This means I get to meet Rosie, Tintin and maybe some mini goats.
Enjoy the rest of your Friday x
Congratulations to everyone, that’s lovely news. Enjoy meeting Rosie, Tintin and the goats - you may need to take your walking shoes though just in case you get the offer of a tourlol. Only kidding @jazzy, still overwhelmed by your kindness.

Morning all. A busy weekend for me, as outlined in other threads. The Highland League has another shoot out between Buckie Thistle and Brechin this afternoon. Buckie are now top on a goal difference of 2, having been forced to play 5 matches in the past 10 days and won them all. Today the last match is a local derby home to Keith , Brechin are away at Brora 🤞
Tomorrow I’m running the local Moray Marathon in Elgin , a double 🤞🤞 for that. I should finish in time to be home for the Forest match 🙂
