Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning chums,

Very foggy here but the forecast for the next 10 days is fantastic so should be able to get stuck into some gardening.

Hope that Val and G enjoy some cuddle time with their respective grandchildren.

@Barnfred 55 when are you back in the NW ?

Good luck to @anjelikaferrett on her return to work. Am I remembering correctly that you were thinking of retiring?

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Afternoon all many projects have made me so busy I missed the morning post ,so good afternoon all ,I hope you are all well and congrats to @jazzy for his doubles triumph some bright spot in the weekend anyway .I did look at the highlights of the weekend to see they had lost which explains why my mate the red hasn't wanted to talk ! Have a great day all COYB

….i know @Barnfred 55 is our forum Gin officiado. I’m on holiday in Cyprus and although I don’t mind the odd glass of gin, Mrs Eggs likes a G&T much more than me.

Anyway, this is the all inclusive gin list at our hotel;

….and the head barman (George) buys the gin for the hotel chain and is a devoted expert on the subject. It’s all about the ‘botanical mix’ to George.

Anyway, he says Tanqueray10 is the only gin in the San Francisco ‘sprits hall of fame’ @LinekersLegs will concur. Germany is overtaking England in world awards for their gin, and Monkey’47 and Elephant gin are world leaders (I’m sure he said Elephant gin is only available in 50ml bottles).

Purely for research I have worked my way through the list. Mrs Eggs really likes the Scottish gin, Botanist, but whilst I did like the Japanese Roku which was served with fresh ginger, I did agree with George that the Elephant gin was very pleasant but my favourite is the Monkey ‘47.

…on the subject of mixers, Fever Tree Mediterranean is the way to go with gin but this specific soda has just won all the awards and is one to watch;

The botanist would be my choice from that list

Never away at the moment mate. Been in Liverpool since Thursday then travelling upto the Lakes for a couple of days tomorrow. Then I'm back for a funeral a week Friday then back again for you know who on the 12th.

Planning a nice pre concert meal at our favourite Indian restaurant on Saturday 12th. You're very welcome to join me if you are free.

Love to but unavailable Fred.

Afternoon everyone, hope the weather is as good where you are as it is here. The husband has been on a speed awareness course today. He was caught doing 36 in a 30mph zone in Norfolk when we were on holiday. His first traffic offence ever, well the first one he’s been done for. He’s just gone to pick grandson up from school and take him home so I’m going to play this for him when he returns.😄

Hi folks It's been lovely ans sunny here today. The first time I've felt warm since I got home. Work was OK. Lots to do so the day went really quickly.
I'm away to Liverpool tomorrow after work. We need to properly start clearing my Dad's house so I'm going to spend Wednesday getting rid of things. There's tons of paperwork that needs shredding as well. I'll probably have some more things for the charity shop @jazzy if you still want them. My brother isn't very good at it - he gets too emotionally involved and thinks it is sad that we are throwing stuff out. I've told him we need to be ruthless!
