Good morning all on this calm but dull day ,I don't think we will get the storm this far over but you never know ,winds like that don't often happpen here .

I was reading last week that the strict protection on wolves in Europe has been lifted and the population thriving..... but that they are still an endangered species in Scandinavia.

I'm sure Blue would show no mercy if he came across one .

Morning all,

Seems a lot quieter today after the storm.

Just 3 miles up the road a tree fell on a car killing the driver. Glad that for once Mrs J listened to me and didn't go out to the rescue.

So today will be a clean up day in the garden. Had a very quick scoot around yesterday and the only damage I saw was a displaced fencing panel so fingers crossed that's all I will have to repair.

Surely we must get news in the take over next week?

Edit. I've just re read Blues OP and it was about wolverines not wolves ( a completely different animal).

I can eat the meat of wild animals but never take their lives willingly .But run yes .

Thank you, just sat at gate. Dream so far - after constantly moaning about Manchester airport we got a fast track pass through security which meant we sailed through, the plane appears to be on time and the wind has dropped. It’s a bit like supporting Everton though - I’m waiting for something to go wrong .

Hi folks. The visitors have gone home. It's been lovely having a full house again. Charlotte's boyfriend stayed for most of the weekend so Sunday dinner for 6. Very little alcohol was drunk due to one pregnant lady, one trying to be pregnant lady, and one trying to be in the best shape he can for restarting his treatment. It was up to me , Mr F and Charlotte's boyfriend to drink the real stuff while they were on Nosecco and alcohol free beer. I can feel an early night coming on!
Good to see Everton donating all the food from yesterday to community groups.
