Good morning all.Back on the horse today as they say! We got home last night after a 20 minute delay while the plane was de-iced. Literally a guy on a cherry picker with a hose pipe. We had a lovely time - would definitely recommend Belfast as a place to visit. Off to take Mr F to work. Catch up later x

Surprised to hear that the match is on tonight- I was secretly hoping it might be cancelled. Not fancying the journey neither the drive nor the walk but my husband and his trusty 4x4 are trying to convince me all will be well.

Have to admit that I was also secretly hoping it would be off
Oh well at least my Grandson will be happy. Just hope they make it worthwhile.

I’m getting the bus from town to avoid walking from Kirkdale station, I feel old typing that out but the bus stops outside the pub

Out of curiosity, what would be your pros and cons of visiting Belfast? Always good to hear views from someone new to the place.

I’m getting the bus from town to avoid walking from Kirkdale station, I feel old typing that out but the bus stops outside the pub

I know it’s bad isn’t it - at one time I wouldn’t have batted an eyelid

A mate of mine and his wife owns the company (Kilfrost) that makes the de-icing fluid that they will have used on the wings. Years ago, when I retired, as a favour I reviewed the company’s development and manufacturing processes in the U.K. and USA and my daughter and I wrote the complete company procedures on a department by department basis. As he’s based up in Haltwhistle and Newcastle I haven’t met up for a few years, I must give him a call…..
