Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Out of curiosity, what would be your pros and cons of visiting Belfast? Always good to hear views from someone new to the place.
Pros: lovely people, great pubs, loads of history, easy to get around.
Cons: and this is possibly because we visited in January almost straight after Christmas - eating establishments seemed to close really early. I'm guessing summer would be later because there are more visitors. Other than that minor gripe I have no complaints.

Well what a pleasant surprise this afternoon. Should inject a bit of interest and enthusiasm into tonight's game.

The correct decision but probably two weeks too late.

It's going to be Moyes isn't it? Pretty uninspiring but he will keep us up I think. I would be very happy with him until the end of the season and then replacing Thelwell as DoF.

Anyway hopefully y'all have a lovely evening.

Belfast is struggling as so many people work at home now. Off the top of my head, it’s something like 60% of all jobs in NI are within greater Belfast area. There are constant calls from Belfast Commercial people to bring people back to offices and to of course then buy a sandwich or have a drink while you’re there. While I understand their pleas, they never consider how the regional towns and villages are doing better now with former office commuters shopping local.

He is never going to take that ,I really hope not anyway as I desprise him for the way he left . Still good news with a little sadness for the man himself as he leaves ,I am though sure he will spin it for the press as they interview him on a wonderful beach somewhere spending very little of the vast sum he got for getting nowhere and refusing to have a plan B.

It's the same here. The local.high streets are doing really well whereas town centres are struggling.

I’m thinking of letting our barmaids work from home. I wonder what the reaction from customers would be…..

How mean was their manager not to bring Tyler Young on for at least the last couple of minutes
I was thinking that too. As soon as the penalty went in he should have said get yourself stripped and on the pitch to young Tyler.
I agree with bl.

Up until the penalty they are only one goal down. Anything can happen ( even though they didn't look like scoring) so it would have been very unprofessional just to chuck him on for sentimental reasons.

By the time of the pen they had already made 5 subs I think so it wasn't possible.

I'm sure sentiment wasn't uppermost in his mind.

Anyway how cold was it Val ? It was freezing watching it on TV and I had the central heating on 😂.

Pretty dull game but at least we tried to play football for once. Armstrong, Patterson and O'Brien were good.

Moyes coming back ...meh. it's ok to the end of the season but hardly the inspiring start to a brave new world at BMD.

Anyway freezing here but got to take mum for a 9 am appointment to audiology and ain't looking forward to those roads.

Have a lovely day everyone.
