How mean was their manager not to bring Tyler Young on for at least the last couple of minutes
Just been looking at the Posh fans forum and they are all applauding the decision not to bring him on “just to give the BBC what they wanted”. I don’t think he would ever have done it even if they hadn’t used all their subs or been 2-0. He’s got a history of being not a very nice person, just my opinion though. ;)
@jazzy take care on the roads and to anyone else who has to venture out mind how you go.

Good morning all on this snowy day here ,we are due a fair bit of snow ,where is @Barnfred 55 when you need him ,we should get a G&T photo later or has he gone underground ! I thought we did well last night as we looked a better side going forward but we do need a goal scorer this window .I hope all had a good night and were well rested after a win .Yes @peteblue it is weird typing that ,how Dyche could ever defend his stats is beyond belief ,three wins so far in the Prem is not where this club should be at this stage of the season. I hope we don't bring in Ginger Davy and they have a bright tactician that will bring out the best in what we have .As seen last night we can pass forward ,let us hope they also stop Pickford playing long balls for them to come straight back .COYB

Would you be more content with a Moyes and Carsley combo? I have already said I want Carsley and would take Moyes short term as a bit of succession planning.

I agree with bl.

Up until the penalty they are only one goal down. Anything can happen ( even though they didn't look like scoring) so it would have been very unprofessional just to chuck him on for sentimental reasons.

By the time of the pen they had already made 5 subs I think so it wasn't possible.

I'm sure sentiment wasn't uppermost in his mind.

Anyway how cold was it Val ? It was freezing watching it on TV and I had the central heating on 😂.

Pretty dull game but at least we tried to play football for once. Armstrong, Patterson and O'Brien were good.

Moyes coming back ...meh. it's ok to the end of the season but hardly the inspiring start to a brave new world at BMD.

Anyway freezing here but got to take mum for a 9 am appointment to audiology and ain't looking forward to those roads.

Have a lovely day everyone.
I was pleased for O’Brien finally getting a chance. He has goals in him as well and I’m sure the next manager will make more effective use of him.

I’m sure Ashley Young felt like saying something to him.

Absolute mystery as to why he didn't even get a minute under Dyche.

I've been retired for some time AT and @anjelikaferrett and was never an employment law expert but do you think that Dyche was "managed" out of his role rather than sacked? If he tells TFG that he's not up to it then surely that becomes a competency issue and gives them grounds for termination.

I suspect he went under a compromise agreement with a payout reduced from that that he would otherwise have been entitled to under a sacking ( the infamous extra year's salary clause ).

What do you think guys?

I'd be happy with Moyes until the end of the season and then going upstairs to take a DoF role.

I think that Carsley definitely needs a period as an assistant before becoming a manager.

Yes on balance I could get on board with them as a combo.

I couldn't accept Moyes on a long term deal

In a ‘normal’ job, the employer would be expected to demonstrate that they have taken reasonable steps to address underperformance before they dismiss. This will typically take at least 3 months to allow the individual time to meet the job spec. Tribunals (for unfair dismissal cases) will often ask employers if they considered alternative roles as part of consideration of action short of dismissal.

Given that Friedkin has only been here weeks then we can safely assume Dyche wasn’t subject to an improvement process. Similarly, it’s nearly unheard of to move a manager to a new role and it wouldn’t therefore be an arguable reasonable step. Likely constructive dismissal if you moved Dyche to Chief Scout etc must also be factored in.

My hunch is that the Friedkins asked Dyche what he needed to move us up the table and he suggested no one could. Likely asked for a severance to go now to spook them into moving now rather than risk an unmotivated man steering us to the Championship. My point being, Dyche didn’t cite underperformance, rather a doomed club.

Fairly inevitable it’s Moyes short term at least. Carsley would sweeten that pill though.

Maybe Moyes ultimately as Chief Scout rather than DoF for me though.

It wasn’t as cold as I thought in GP last night @jazzy - a balmy 3 degrees as opposed to the -6 that welcomed us home.
I’ll be honest I don’t want David Moyes, my Facebook memories are littered with comments about how poorly we were playing before he went, all the dodgy stuff he was saying after he left trying to get Baines and Fellaini. The thing is I don’t know who else we would get to change the direction of our season. Mourinho is just too much of a toddler for me but I agree @anjelikaferrett - he would raise the bar in the calendar.
What I thought was really telling was Dyches comment about how he felt he had got as much as he could out of the players. He’s either covering his own back or the players really are as bad as they appear.
Watching Baines last night reminded me of being at work when your boss goes off sick unexpectedly and you get dumped with attending a meeting you have no knowledge of and haven’t been briefed 😂.
Nothing much on for me today. The pavements are treacherous and the schools near us are closed due to the ice. Have a great Friday everyone 💙

I think something quite dramatic happened yesterday for that decision to be taken a few hours before the match. It would not surprise me if there has been some sort of compromise agreement together with an NDA. I've been hearing rumours for ages that Dyche is always on the beer. The source of the rumours actually messaged me before the news broke to say he had gone - but I was working and didn't look at my phone!
I don't want Moyes. Its uninspiring and even Kendall couldn’t make it work second time round. I would stick with Baines and Coleman. I definitely don't want Rooney and/or Ferguson. Nice guys, crap managers.I would like Jose - he'd liven the place up but I think he's had his days in the sun. My other choices would be Thomas Frank from Brentford or Rob Edwards who was at Luton until yesterday.
