Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I have just watched the presser and he was a bit coy and a bit Dychey ,saying that I feel a bit happier with him I suppose because the deal is done now .
I do wish him all the best simply because it would be good for the whole club ,cynicism aside he does seem up for the job and was quite honest with his answers ,I enjoyed the fact he said the players have been told they have to look at themselves to improve .
I just hope he can conjure up a couple of signings to lift the crowd as they are the ones that have given the most in the times we have all endured over the last few years .COYB

He is here now and little else we can do but make peace with it. He does increase our chances of staying up and that is the most important thing right now.

Good morning all and I have the fever again -post Dycheitis .Considering I don't like the way he left I have this weight lifted of my shoulders and have started to think good thoughts again .
I hope all are well and had a good night ,it looks like we have lost @Vegas Toffee Girl as she hasn't posted on here for a long time ,let us hope all is well and she is just too involved in her job.
It might be a bit warmer here today so I am hoping to get out after I have vacuumed the house -bosses orders. I have a small boulder that I want to make a mortar and pestle from if it will accommodate me .I won't know until I start cutting it if I can get both ,it is a pale grey mottled granite .
Have a great day all COYB.

Morning everyone,

Think my table tennis days could be coming to an end.

Played last night and we got battered ( by a very good team ) . That in itself isn't a problem but I increasingly find myself enjoying the practice before a match far far more than the game itself and to make matters much worse I was in pain all night with a reoccurrence of my elbow injury.

So, I found the Moyes interview pretty underwhelming but we can only hope that he's more inspirational with the players - massive game tomorrow.

Anyway Mrs J off to the shop today so I'm in charge.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Why is it your enjoy the practice more though? Is it because it is at your own pace more than a competitive match?

Oh that's a shame. Could you still be involved without playing in the matches - coaching or something like that? Or is there an opportunity to play socially rather than in a competitive fixture? I was less than inspired by Moyes too. Like you say, hopefully he can inspire the team a bit more.

He was honest though about the players situation and most importantly confident about guiding us to safety. I’ll take that.

It's frustration AT of not being able to do at pace what I used to find easy.
No idea why but reaction time in competitive matches is massively down on when I am messing about practicing.
In addition I just can't be doing with the gamesmanship that didn't used to bother me.

I tried coaching Anj and I have no patience, especially with kids so thats a no no 😂.

I can play socially but ( without wanting to sound big headed ) my standard would be much better than other players at U3A so there's not much point.

I can however just train with elite players without playing competitively and that's fun provided that my elbow holds up.
